'Peeps' - for people as in 'right peeps ... let get this meeting started' (gggrrrrrrrr)

'hump day' - meaning Wednesday

I mean, why?

TeaAndAMarmiteSandwhich · 20/12/2017 23:38

Oh .. and 'touch base' (really??)

TeaAndAMarmiteSandwhich · 20/12/2017 23:39

Ok peeps, let's touch base on humpday.

Are you actually sat there on the sofa, bus etc with piss running down your leg?

Elusiveone · 21/12/2017 00:10

Gurt Lush they use a lot where i live. Also hate the word yummy lol

MrsDilber · 21/12/2017 00:10

Hun. It's sounds so insincere.

HelloGabriel · 21/12/2017 08:26

What the fuck is a 'picky tea'? Confused

TheNaze73 · 21/12/2017 08:34

Run It up the flagpole & see who salutes

LemonShark · 21/12/2017 08:39

Hellogabriel I think it's like lots of little snacks you can 'nibble at' instead of a main meal on one dish? I've only ever heard of it here. It makes me want to gag, the phrase.

HelloGabriel · 21/12/2017 08:42

Ahh Smile

My own would have to be 'ping me an email'.

No. I'll send you one.

Balaboosteh · 21/12/2017 09:01

But picky tea is a THING:

Fatarseflanagan09 · 21/12/2017 09:09

I'll ping you a message meaning I'll send you an email, it sounds pretentious and pathetic.

juddyrockingcloggs · 21/12/2017 09:11

Another one that really gets on my tits is 'tech'. I hate that. We've got a lot of tech in our house. Angry

Bluntness100 · 21/12/2017 09:11

"Amazeballs"

Can't actually believe it comes out of some adults mouths.

Pigwitch · 21/12/2017 09:19

'Lil
sexy - when used to describe a child.

"my 'lil man looks so sexy in his new tracksuit" Hmm

HazelBite · 21/12/2017 09:23

Well," I/she/he/ turned round and said",
Conjures up visions of people spinning around on one leg before speaking, quite a "physical" conversation!

ForTheLoveOfSleep · 21/12/2017 09:29

"Such a character."

"..turned around and said."

"Not being funny but..."

Speakeasy22 · 21/12/2017 09:30

Poorly - as in are you poorly? I know it’s an English thing (I’m not English). But it’s an adverb... no sense whatsoever. Poorly what? Fed? Looked after? Just finish the sentence!

crunchymint · 21/12/2017 09:30

Such a character is often code for a total pain in the arse.

fruitbrewhaha · 21/12/2017 09:36

School boy error

When grown women talked about their 'best friend' What? are you 8 years old. Especially when they are referring to someone you know, just use their name.

SugarPlumFerry · 21/12/2017 09:38

But picky tea is a THING:
hollyspantry.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/antipasto-plate-picky-tea.html?m=1

This is a regular meal in our house. Do some people genuinely not have this or do they call it something other than "Picky Tea"?

I don't share the hatred of the term.

What I DO hate though is this new style of using verbs as adjectives. Example "woke" and "shook". What even is "woke"? Angry

Andcake · 21/12/2017 09:43

Pfb

F* off you lucky lucky easy breeders who can have more than one and didn't struggle with fertility issues.

This is my one chance.

Tbh I'm not very over protective but I still find the pfb just makes me want to cry as it reminds me of what I won't have and the norm and expectations of others

LemonShark · 21/12/2017 09:48

SugarPlumFerry Oh god you reminded me of 'woke' 'he's so woke' 😷😷😷 it doesn't make any sense and it's a grammatical horror show
