How often do you wash your toddlers winter coat?

I wash DD's puffa every time it comes back from preschool covered in mud / paint / food etc, so maybe fortnightly,

My sister doesn't wash her DD's, just wet wipes it if it's food or something smelly.

Am I being precious or is DSis a bit grim?

Is this what aibu has come to now - laundry queries?

Some of the longest, most raging threads on here are about laundry and washing habits. This one will kick off shortly when the professionally offended decide to feel personally criticised by the cleanliness of others and decree that everyone should mind their own business and stop judging them ...

You're meant to wash coats?

I don't think so.

Maybe twice a year, if that.

tinytoucan · 20/12/2017 08:28

I'll wet wipe if it's just a bit of muck, but if it's caked in it it goes in the washing machine. DS has come home from nursery with flour (or something, I couldn't really work it out!) all over his sleeves from messy play in the garden. No way was a wet wipe going to get rid of that!

The ability to wash coats at the drop of the hat depends on having several coats, a tumble dryer and the toddler in question not being hysterically devoted to one special coat. So I wouldn't judge.

Don't you eat outside? We often have a snack at the park or similar and it doesn't always end up entirely in tummies

Rarely, and not anything that would need more than a brush or wipe off. What do you be eating in the park, at this time of year?

I don't think one needs to be PO to be miffed when people come on to tell you how filthy and gross you are just because you don't antibac everything every 5 seconds and change your sheets twice a day.

When it's dirty! So for Dd1 maybe a couple of times over autumn and winter. Dd2 gets grubby so more often.

No not really. We don’t tend to have snacks, just meals and generally go home for them at this time of year, or eat in a cafe.
