  2. Airport - 2 hour drive
  3. Mountains - an hour or so away
  4. Starbucks - nearest one in nearest city - 1.5 hour drive
  5. Harvey Nicks - the proper one (London) -4 hours drive/train

  1. Beach - 114 miles to a proper, sandy, dune beach.
  2. Airport - 9 miles, small regional airport that goes to mediterranean.
  3. Mountains - 152 - but its not in England.
  4. Starbucks - 4 miles, but I never go there.
  5. Harvey Nicks - no idea, will never go there either.

Beach 1hr 40 miles
Airport 1hr 40miles
Mountains 10mins walk to end of footpath into the mountains. 30mins drive to munro baggers car park. 45mins drive to ski centre.
Starbucks 1hr 40miles
Harvey Nicks 2 and a half hrs on a clear road, plus time to park somewhere and get into town. Call it 3 and a half.

Nearest Beach 8 miles ( 15 mins by car)
Airport 40 miles (about an hour drive)
Mountains 1 mile I look up at one from my kitchen window
Starbucks 12 miles (20 min by car)
Harvey Nicks 90 miles ( 2 hour drive)

By car:

  1. about an hour to either the sea or forty five minutes to the loch.
  2. about twenty minutes
  3. Ben Lomond is probably the closest, its about 1 hour 45 away
  4. 5 minutes
  5. Edinburgh - about an hour, London - about 7-8 hours

Mountains- 2 hours (but they're little ones!)

Beach - 1hr- 1hr 20 depending on traffic
Airport - 35/40 mins (Gatwick)
Mountains - if you could Box Hill in Dorking 30 mins
Starbucks - 10 minutes at the local Sainsburys. Much better local coffee shop - 5 mins
Harvey Nicks - about an hour into central London

All drive-times:

  1. Beach - 7 mins
  2. Airport - 30 mins for a commercial one
3.Mountains - maybe 45 mins for something quite small, about 1hr 45 for a handful of the really high ones
  1. Starbucks - about 20 mins, though we have a local Costa
  2. Harvey Nicks - there’s a HN beauty bazaar about 20 minutes away, does that count?

Central London so v close to all except the mountains. (ok so I'm counting the Thames foreshore as a beach....)

  5. Harvey Nicks - 3 hour drive if there’s one in Bristol

Beach is the only one I’m bothered about though Grin Could do with mountains being closer, though we have some lovely craggy tors
