  1. Beach - Just over an hour
  2. Airport - 30 minutes on a Sunday morning, 1 hour plus in rush hour
  3. Mountains - not sure what in the UK class as these, maybe 3-4 hours t
  4. Starbucks - 5 mins drive or 25 min walk
  5. Harvey Nicks - Around an hour by train/tube

Beach: 1h drive
Airport: 30m train
Mountains: 3/4h? Train
Starbucks: 20m train
Harvey Nicks: 1h maybe less...train then tube/bus? (not 100% sure where it is!)

Beach - I can see it from here.
Airport - 2 1/2 hours’ drive to a small one. At least three if you want to fly anywhere interesting.
Mountains - hour’s drive in a couple of directions
Starbucks - no idea. Not sure where the nearest one is. At least an hour’s drive, probably 2
Harvey Nicks - is that in London? 5 hour drive. Never felt the need for it.

2. Airport Small international about 30 mins. Major airport about 90 mins.
3. Mountains. Two minute walk down the road.
4. Starbucks 20 mins
5. Harvey Nicks 90 mins.

I live in a very working class suburb.

1 - 20 mins (Helensburgh beach)
2 - 15 mins (Glasgow Airport)
3 - 30 mins (Loch Lomond)
4 - 10 mins (Phoenix retail park)
5 - 1h 20 mins (Edinburgh)

Starbucks - 20min (but we have much nicer coffee chain in local town 7 minutes away, coffee#1)
Harvest nicks - 30 min

3, Mountains. Possibly 15-20 mins
4, Starbucks. No idea, probably 45 mins

Here at my Dad's:

Beach: 10 mins walk
Airport: 30 mins train
Mountains: haven't a clue!
Starbucks: 7 mins walk
Harvey Nicks: 1 hour train + tube

At home:

Beach: 5 mins walk
Airport: 1 hour car
Mountains: 20 mins walk (to stand on one, can see loads out of the window)
Starbucks: half a day's journey
Harvey Nicks: about 800 miles...

Godforsaken wasteland where I live. With an airport so we can get out.
