Thanks Papillion, will do.

Bucketsofdynomite · 22/04/2007 13:41

Just casting my vote for the brilliant Cod. The natural downside to written lanuage is lack of non-vocal communication and therefore humour. I like to think that if we were to see and hear her say it out loud we would all be in stitches and no one would be at all offended.

mytwopenceworth · 22/04/2007 14:00

does cod know someone is claiming to know her in rl and have had her daughter discussed by cod? i think she should, then she can decide whether she thinks its real.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 22/04/2007 14:08

I will forward it to her, but i suspect she already knows.

I think know where cod was coming from on that other thread (although she did overstep the mark wrt to MN 'etiquette'). There was a thread the other day regarding the story about the sentencing of 4 women convicted of neglect/abuse or something because they goaded and forced two toddlers to fight each other, and when the little boy - in just a t-shirt and nappy refused and cried he was called a "faggot" etc by the mums. All the posters on said thread said "Lock em up" "Scum" "How did they get away with such light sentences" blah blah blah.

Then a thread appears ie the one linked to further down, and a totally different view is taken. Simply because, I believe, the posters felt they had more of a background on the situation. Which was Cod's point regarding the sentencing of the women in the news.

Slightly obscure way to prove a point, but, i am pretty sure no malice was intended. Cod's too fluffy and lovely for that .

Maybe you'd had a bit of wine

Mhamai · 22/04/2007 14:55

ahem yes, wine was taken and my inspector clueso persona went into overdrive! Sorry.

MamaG · 22/04/2007 14:57

s'ok! I'm glad you know my MN timing so well

I rarely post past 10pm, but it appears you know that

Mhamai · 22/04/2007 15:00

Reminder to self, when in doubt say nowt!

ledodgy · 22/04/2007 15:00

I have just read this thread and i'm [shocked] not at the normal cod bashing that just makes me yawn but at Stroppymadam!

Stroppymadam you are obviously a nasty piece of work who has come on to cause trouble. If you are speaking the truth which I seriously doubt sort it out face to face like a grown up otherwise as Sophable said, Fuck off.

nappyaddict · 22/04/2007 15:02

i don't think she's rude or insenstive, she just speaks her mind and i like her style. but sometimes it really does take me forever to understand what she's trying to say. what's with the awful typing!! i reckon it must take longer to type like that personally!

SherlockLGJ · 22/04/2007 15:10

She never learnt to type, she has a rough idea where the keys are and then her brain fails to keep up with her fingers.

'Tis even worse on MSN, when she feels as though she knows you and doesn't have to impress.

Amen Edam.

SaintGeorge · 22/04/2007 15:17

All cod bashers are crazy.

Anyone in their right mind knows you batter cod.

obimomkanobi · 22/04/2007 15:18

Someone said further down the thread that us newbies don't get the essence of Cod.

I might be being a bit dim, but I have never seen 'essence of cod' in my local perfumery.

If a kind mumsnetter could send me some in the post, I would be most grateful and perhaps I might fit in a bit more when I have dabbed some cod essence on my pulse points.

SaintGeorge · 22/04/2007 15:21

I always thought essence of cod was vinegar.

obimomkanobi · 22/04/2007 15:22

any particular kind of vinegar?

SaintGeorge · 22/04/2007 15:24

Well us toughie northerners prefer non-brewed condiment, although I hear Balsamic is very in this season.

obimomkanobi · 22/04/2007 15:29

Anthea Turner likes white vinegar.

SherlockLGJ · 22/04/2007 15:32

obimomkanobi

With that sense of humour, you are going to fit right in. Welcome to MN.

LGJ proffers her hand.

bosscat · 22/04/2007 16:16

obimomkanobi · 22/04/2007 16:31
