To ask what you have got your kids for Christmas?

I have 3 dc, dd5, ds8 and dd11 so far I have got the girls a pair of unicorn slippers each and that is it. I have no idea what to get them and I am running out of time, startinv to panic slightly. We have Amazon Prime so if I get organised can do one big order have it delivered tomorrow before the kids break up. Please inspire me with ideas, budget wise up to £400 each child but don't need to spend all of that, that is just what I have saved for Christmas gifts.

You joke hippee but I am seriously considering it. Dd has just started secondary has some SEN and the apps/aids with Apple are much better than Android or Microsoft. Just don't know if that is a bit of a crap present for an 11 year old. If she was 15 wouldn't think twice

My 14 yr old has AS and really wants a MacBook, I'm going to get him one next year for his GCSEs.

Question is op- would she love it? And use it?

Hippee · 14/12/2017 15:00

DayDreamer99 - it was only a joke because of this thread www.mumsnet.com/Talk/_chat/3110821-I-ve-lied-and-I-now-feel-bad-Xmas-gift-related - I imagine MacBook being the "have you cancelled the cheque" comment for all future gift threads.

LilQueenie · 14/12/2017 15:00

What is she into in general OP?

tampinfuminragin · 14/12/2017 16:27

Hatchimal, Nintendo switch, game for PS4, board games, clothes and some funky slippers.

tampinfuminragin · 14/12/2017 16:27

Lego

NewtsSuitcase · 14/12/2017 16:30

PS4 VR headset?

I've bought one for my DS's to share

IHeartKingThistle · 14/12/2017 16:35

My DD (11) is getting a keyboard and riding lessons (that one could bite me in the arse if she wants to carry on!).

Allthetuppences · 14/12/2017 16:38

Hairdryer? Straighteners? Books (Michael Morpugo and David Baddiel have been requested here)?, unicorn onsie (also slippers), a keyboard, a zoomer unicorn, sorting toys, marble run, balance bike, teen titans stuff, ski stuff, lego, new boots, reuseable sandwich bags. Not all Christmas ztuff

mikeyssister · 14/12/2017 16:41

DD2 loves doing projects and researching things and wants a laptop. And we're getting her one.

If you're DD needs the apps then I would definitely think of getting something like a MacBook. I look at that type of cost as setting them up for their future.

DayDreamer99 · 14/12/2017 17:15

Ok, I bit the bullet and ordered the larger screened McBook along with a case. I think it will make a big difference to dd (she is visual impaired) as it has the ability for her to dictate things to it and it will type it for her, plus read things she is researching to her. Hopefully she likes it and isn't disappointed or thinks it is boring. I am second guessing myself now but do have up until 9pm to cancel.

DS has got, TV for his bedroom, football boots, trainers, goalkeeping gloves and equipment, books, diary, clothes, chocolates, season ticket for the football team that we support, football kits, headphones.

This isn’t all off DH & I, other family members have clubbed together for his season ticket.

demirose87 · 15/12/2017 10:56

I've spent a lot this year. My kids are 9, nearly 4, 22 months and 11 weeks. My eldest has a Nintendo switch with games, some Lego sets and other bits and pieces. My 3 year old has a Luvabella doll, a tablet and lots of toys. My 22 month old has lots of toys and musical instrument type toys. Youngest DS only has a few rattley and musical toys as he's so young, and getting him a baby gym.

CaptainChristmas · 15/12/2017 10:59

Mine is 3. So far we’ve got her a play doh set and some jigsaws. We’re also planning to get her a doctor’s set, kinetic sand and some new pyjamas.
