Isn’t this extremely offensive?

I was sent this. It’s in someone’s jacket on a flight to London. I find it extremely offensive, others thinks is tasteless.

I agree. I don’t really see why women should have to put up with seeing themselves depicted like that in public. I don’t care how young/rebellious/knobbish the owner is.

Wauden · 10/12/2017 19:13

I would have accidentally poured coffee onto the back of the jacket. Or something red, which does not wash out.

feellikeanalien · 10/12/2017 19:16

Wearing this just screams to me that the person wearing it is a twat!

Turquoise123 · 10/12/2017 19:33

Out of interest - which airline ? Poor show as yes it’s totally inappropriate on so many levels

AreThereAnyUsersnamesLeft · 10/12/2017 19:46

yuk

Marylou2 · 10/12/2017 19:55

Just vile. Yes it's extremely offensive. I saw a stag group entering Manchester airport all wearing t shirts with a slogan that was mildly tasteless but pretty amusing and they were made to wear them inside out while in the airport. Thankfully not on my flight.

Nottheduchessofcambridge · 10/12/2017 19:58

Can’t say I’m offended, disgusted maybe, not offended though.

TheHandmaidsTail · 10/12/2017 19:59

Brings back memories of being at a soft play and a dad wearing a t shirt with "fuck off" written across it in large letters. Lovely picture as he slid down the slide with his dd Hmm

ReanimatedSGB · 10/12/2017 20:09

On one hand: FFS get over yourself. On the other hand: women get thrown off flights for wearing leggings. The UK really needs to sort out the laws regarding freedom of expression, because there are always going to be whiners and there needs to be a well-understood line between criminal offence and... FFS get over yourself.

tartanthemedchristmas · 10/12/2017 20:10

@tartanthemedchristmas oh well. As long as you've googled it and read about it on one forum you must know all about it then

The point I was making was that this isn't just some subgenre and the guy just likes the music. I read lyrics from real songs. I agree with a pp that you'd have to have a pretty disturbed view of women to listen to the lyrics i read. A widely used forum for lovers of metal music were universally refusing to be connected with it. It would be equally disgusting to read lyrics about men incidentally. But here the picture is against women, not men.

Shockers · 10/12/2017 20:21

Only a massive attention seeking tool would choose to wear that jacket outside of the house.

grannytomine · 10/12/2017 20:23

Reminds of the day the SIL of the big boss had a costume malfunction i.e. his zip broke just before he was due to go into a big meeting. Secretary knelt in front of him to try to pin his trousers together without the pins showing or stabbing him. Some secretaries are dedicated.

Very awkward moment when big boss walked in, eye to eye with his SIL with young woman kneeling between them with her head in SILs crotch.

Very very awkward moment.

grannytomine · 10/12/2017 20:24

Her head wasn't actually in his crotch but that was how it must have looked to big boss.

BattleaxeGalactica · 10/12/2017 20:28

Why would anyone think it's OK to inflict that on everyone around?

It just screams disrespectful entitled tool.

user1482573375 · 10/12/2017 20:35

It's just stupid, what sort of bloke would walk round with that on a top?

Henrysmycat · 10/12/2017 22:09

Just found out it was an easyjet flight returning to Gatwick.

OP posts:
reiki73 · 10/12/2017 22:39

That's just bloody disgusting. What an area for wearing that.

reiki73 · 10/12/2017 22:39

That should read arse!

hackmum · 11/12/2017 08:27

I don't understand why it's supposed to be funny either. What, exactly, is the joke?

It's just really unpleasant and inappropriate. I find it interesting, though, that some people are defending it - there's been a process of erosion over the years of the distinction between what is suitable for private consumption and what is acceptable in public. I'd have thought that depictions of sexual acts fairly clearly fall into the first category, but that seems to be a less widely-held view than it once was.

Allthetuppences · 11/12/2017 08:31

Not an item of clothing worn by someone with a sex life, is it? Probably someone who has "opinions" about censorship etc.

InfiniteSheldon · 11/12/2017 08:32

I don't think it is supposed to be funny it's just offensive, by wearing it the man is saying he doesnt give a fuck about women and children.

StealthPolarBear · 11/12/2017 08:38

Lots of people on the first page found it amusing though. None have been back to explain the joke.
"pollymere

More cheerfully, saw a post on FB today where a woman thought -4' warning in her car was a man having a poo..."
I don't get this one either but sound like it has the potential to actually be funny! Please explain

HuskyMcClusky · 11/12/2017 08:42

That’s a completely revolting thing to wear in public. Who wants their children to see that??

Purplealienpuke · 11/12/2017 09:41

The word cockwomble is made for people who think this attire is suitable for public viewing infront of children!
It is offensive to me, I definitely cannot see the funny side. Easyjet staff should be ashamed

HuskyMcClusky · 11/12/2017 09:47

I’m actually stunned that easyjet didn’t make him take it off. Other airlines have done similar.
