I usually don't eat much chocolate, but really enjoy nibbling demolishing the tubs of chocolates that come out at Christmas. But now they're all swimming in Palm oil Envy

glueandstick completely agree about the chocolate oranges. So sad. I find the mini segments better now, no idea if that's just psychological though.

Leonidas say they don't use palm oil - unless this is old... www.leonidas.com/uploads/press_corporate/Dossier_Presse_EN_09_14.pdf

Cadburys in Ireland is far superior to the stuff in the UK. It's the first thing that we always bring back home when we cross the border, there is nothing that beats an Irish golden crisp! Brexit better not impact on us importing armfuls of the stuff into the north!!

They are idiots as well, because if they used the original recipe and flavours, along with the larger tins, they'd make so much more profit over xmas.

And here is the problem.
Every year people complain that the tins are getting smaller and the quality less but they don’t realise that a big tin of quality street back in the mid 80s cost the equivalent of £20 in today’s money.
No one would be willing to pay that much today so they have to compromise something. Therefore the tins get smaller and the quality poorer so the price doesn’t go up.

Most of Cadburys production moved to Poland when Kraft bought them causing the loss of several hundred jobs in Keynsham (near Bristol ). I used to be able to smell chocolate on the air if I stood outside my house.
It's pretty horrible stuff now that coats the tongue.
