Admittedly offered in the reduced stuff so maybe no one wants it either. IMO encourages secret dates/ messaging with older boys and men and sexualisation of young girls. WIBU to complain to the shop?

Ahh dream phone, loved that game!
I was telling DH about it the other day funnily enough and he had never heard of it which I really doubt considering he has 4 sisters!!

liverbird10 · 03/12/2017 17:17

I remember secret admirer board games from when I was a kid. They were crap then too.

liverbird10 · 03/12/2017 17:18

Not to be taken too seriously I think!

Jammydodger81 · 03/12/2017 17:24

We still have our dream phone game at my mums. Might have to get it out over Xmas. I remember it saying ‘he looks cool in whatever he wears’ which was so annoying! I also had a Polly Pocket light up castle, my mum kept a lot of my toys and my dds now play with them. It’s lovely.

IJustLostTheGame · 03/12/2017 17:33

It needs updating with right swipes and dick pics

Flumplet · 03/12/2017 17:33

It’s just a silly game. Have one of these...

Ah Dream Phone! I had this in the 90s too. In fact I think it's still in a cupboard in my childhood bedroom. Maybe I'll dig it out to play this Christmas Xmas Grin

ColinsVeryJolly · 03/12/2017 18:37

My friend had a dream phone.

She also had this bad boy which I loved and desperately wanted too.

£100 on eBay! Shock

t was even on te Simpson’s! Bart and Milhouse played it when they stayed at Flanders’ beach house!

That was Mystery Date or something. A different game with a door in it. Bart gets the dud (which looks like Milhouse)

Possumfish · 03/12/2017 19:09

This game has pride of place in my collection! The original 90s version! It's awesome n a good giggle :)

Doggymum88 · 03/12/2017 19:12

I had one of these when i was younger! I dont remember much about it except myself, my younger sister, mum and nan all playing it! My sister was too young to really get the idea and my nan thought it was hilarious!

YABU

I had dreamphone in the 90s and me and a friend played it for nostalgia while at uni in mid 00s. It’s just a bit of fun! It hasn’t shaped my future relationships, since I’m gay.

I had a girls world styling head... I’m as ungirly an adult woman as it gets now.

I had the Cadbury dispenser as well. Sadly I am still addicted to chocolate and waste far too much money on it.

I never had mr frosty though Sad

SavoyCabbage · 03/12/2017 19:19

My neighbour had that and a fashion wheel. Envy She and her wife have a five year old now. They play rugby and are practically a living stereotype. I would tell you what she does for a living but you wouldn’t believe it.

SavoyCabbage · 03/12/2017 19:20

Glum, my next door neighbour also had a Mr Frosty! Ruined she was.

WhatAmIMissing · 03/12/2017 19:21

I used to looooove this game!!!! It was about the only game I actually bothered to play.

As previous posters have said, it's more of a guess who type game.

I don't think it left me with any negatives. Although, admittedly, that is me reaching back into the perspective of a 10 year old.

Who knows...

WhatAmIMissing · 03/12/2017 19:23

However I do remember thinking thier voices were soooooooo annoying - even at the time!

Coconutspongexo · 03/12/2017 19:25

My older sister had this, I was never allowed to play always wanted to though!Envy

Rascallsall · 03/12/2017 19:30

This is my very unPC game from the early 1970s. My family are forced to play it annually on Christmas Day 😂

I didn't have this game (despite asking) but i did phone chat lines from phone boxes.

greenapplesplatter · 03/12/2017 19:35

@TheHolidayArmadillo they literally did last half an hour!! You couldn't actually buy the little dairy milk refills from anywhere back then so once you'd scoffed them that was it!!

OP I had this game, not sure what age exactly probably what they would call a 'tweenager' now. I've managed to get to mid thirties without any lasting trauma!

greenapplesplatter · 03/12/2017 19:37

OMG, the phoning of chat lines.... take me back!!

Track down an Atmosphere board game off eBay that'll be nice for an Christmas afternoon game. Still shudder to think of it 20+ years on

AmethystRaven · 03/12/2017 19:37

Didn't Gary have a rather fetching ponytail?

I liked Bob with his floppy 90s curtains.

'You're right, I like you!' Grin

user1467976192 · 03/12/2017 19:38

Miaow I liked my fashion wheel... more than dream phone lol
