Admittedly offered in the reduced stuff so maybe no one wants it either. IMO encourages secret dates/ messaging with older boys and men and sexualisation of young girls. WIBU to complain to the shop?

I had a Starlight walking horse. Loved that thing. & my Polly in my Pocket light up castle Grin

If it lit up or changed colour it was generally a winner.

shakeyourcaboose · 03/12/2017 16:12

Does anyone remember the exceptionally creepy doll Cricket that sang once you put a cassette tape in her back?

ForTheLoveOfSleep · 03/12/2017 16:13

I had this one. Phone has changed a bit Grin.

I had one in the 90’s some days those boys were the only friends I had to ring... seriously it did me no harm

juddyrockingcloggs · 03/12/2017 16:21

Is this a genuine aibu?!

I had dream phone too! Me and my best mate Stacey used to play it! I married my first boyfriend (going strong!) and Stacey is a lesbian! It really really didn't have any adverse effects on either of us unless you count Gary on 555-321 put her off men for life!

CoodleMoodle · 03/12/2017 16:24

A couple of years ago my best friend and I were talking about how neither of us had Dream Phone when we were kids. DM overheard us and when she found it in a charity shop, she bought it for us. Best friend and I had a great time with it, and we were about 25 (both with kids!) at the time Grin I've still got it, will have to get it out next time she comes over...

notangelinajolie · 03/12/2017 16:30

Oooooh! I want that game. It was the best ever.

witchofzog · 03/12/2017 16:37

It's all a bit harmless really. I had an art / poster game when I was about 9 and one of the ready made examples was a poster asking for a boy to come for breakfast complete with a picture of a good looking boy. I actually copied it and put it on a lamp post in my street. No boy came to breakfast and my parents were not best pleased when they found the soggy remains clinging to the lamp post 3 days later. If anyone else remembers what it was called please please tell me. I am desperate to recall its name.

PinkHeart5914 · 03/12/2017 16:41

I am pretty sure I had That game when I was a young girl, I bloody loved it as well. So it’s been around a little while and as far as I am aware it done me no harm

I’m sure you could find something else to complain about op

SmellySphinx · 03/12/2017 16:41

Sort of see what you mean OP but seriously the staff have naff all to do with what is sold in the shop and they probably won't mention it to management even of you asked them to!

And YES my sister had one of those red Dairy Milk dispensers, you put 2p in I WANTED ONE SO BAD

EdmundCleverClogs · 03/12/2017 16:41

witchofzog sorry have no idea what the name of that game is. However I’m giggling to myself - I’m just imagining putting up that sort of poster now. I bet you’d have the local police around pretty quickly these days, wondering what kind of weirdo is trying to coheres ‘good looking boys’ around for breakfast Grin.

SoozC · 03/12/2017 16:44

I had a Lady Lovely Locks too. She had two clip-in coloured hair pieces that I thought were the epitome of cool. I remember my best friend at the time had one too and we pulled the heads off to wash the hair. She never was the same after that.

I did have the My Little Pony Dream Castle though. And a three-storey Barbie house complete with lift. God, I wish I hadn't sold all my old toys at a car boot sale when I was 12.

Jasmine1111 · 03/12/2017 16:46

Loved this game. My favourite was Brad...

I never dared ask for this!

prettypaws · 03/12/2017 16:46

I had this too, it seems a bit shocking now given we were about 10 at the time. My parents kept many things we outgrew in the loft but this was not one of them. I can't remember the game that well but I wonder if it led in any way to the 12-15 year olds calling sex/chat lines in school break times!

MadMags · 03/12/2017 16:46

Oh I loved Dream Phone! My favourite was Brad, too!

RunningOutOfCharge · 03/12/2017 16:48

haha....what is wrong with people getting so flipping offended over every thing at the moment?

its like they want to make it into the daily mail!

2beesornot2beesthatisthehoney · 03/12/2017 16:49

Where have you been for the past 25 years Xmas Grin
Clearly somewhere else!!!
Ok so this backfired a bit Grin and it has resulted in lots of nostalgia for some. My kids were kids when this came out then and the fact I had never seen this till now could explain why they think they missed out on so much!!!!
I am obviously a rubbish mum , who overreacts . I'm learning quick, honest !

I know Edmund Grin It was a totally different time really. I have been googling and it just brings up the breakfast club movie or game boys

SylviaTietjens · 03/12/2017 16:56

I’d forgottten all about Brad >>swoon

susurration · 03/12/2017 17:05

Ahh I always wanted that game! It was around at least 20 years ago. Maybe it's been in the bargain bin for the last 15 years and no but you has ever picked it up?

Birdsgottafly · 03/12/2017 17:05

shakeyourcaboose My DDs Cricket Doll got manky, so I threw it out. My DH tracked down another, by looking in various papers at the Ads.

It was like a scene from Chucky when I walked in and it was sitting on the couch.

TheGhostsOfPresidentsYetToCome · 03/12/2017 17:15

It was even on te Simpson’s! Bart and Milhouse played it when they stayed at Flanders’ beach house! Grin

My sister had it. I remember making my dad play it with us!
