How can such an ugly fur coat cost 40k?

I actually like the turtle neck and think I could pull it off. I also don’t mind the yellow Versace coat and know what I’d wear it with to tone it down but I’m not tall enough to pull that one off.

The rest is gross especially the snake fur (apart from the lining) and Gucci are clearly taking the piss. Only a couple of crazy fashion bloggers will buy it and maybe a Kardashian.

I have never really understood the love for all those designer clothes and accessories, most of them are hideous. I may despise Louis Vuitton more than I do Gucci, I find their handbags extremely tacky!

Ha these are amazing! What exactly is classic Gucci? I'm guessing not posh spice from the 90s Grin

It's supposed to be. Its brand aesthetic is Italian hyper luxe.

It's not supposed to appeal to more refines, quieter tastes.

I don't think they are doing very well on that brand, it's more like expensive looking cheap.

Anna Wintour would wear it.

But I agree, it is vile

I don't like most of their stuff tbh but I do have a beautiful Gucci watch that was a 30th birthday present; it's v slim and understated!

That snake coat looks like its from Peacocks or similar. It's an incredibly poor fit and looks shoddily made. Look at the sleeves... not even a decent length.

Look what they’ve done to this poor lassie 😭

I would not be popping up to the coop in that outfit.

That pink lurex shirt has been in Vogue and it looked heinous on the model. As for the matching trousers...unspeakable!

I used to read Whizzer and Chips (don’t worry, this is relevant) and there was a comic story called Ivor Lott and Tony Broke, rich kid v poor kid. Anyway, Ivor Lott’s parents bought their clothes from a shop called ‘Daft Clothes For Rich Loonies’, and they would 100% stock some of those Gucci numbers.

However! They do do nice classic (although faint-makingly expensive) stuff too. Check this out:

I’ve seen it ‘live’ and it’s lovely.

Hello! Coat of my dreams. Even if possibly a bit Princess Anne.

Yes please!

Please come and live in my wardrobe. Kate Middleton has been photographed in this, not normally an endorsement, but I still love it.

I quite like some of the individual elements of that, but all together look like unicorn crap. If peacocks sold a skirt like that id buy it.

Dear Paul of Damascus! What an ugly excuse for a coat.

Do people actually wear these out and about? I thought these sorts of looks were just on catwalks. Does anyone know anybody that wears these types of clothes? They look cheap and like from the 70's. I am actually appalled and have shown several work colleagues to join in and gawp at the hideousness.

Aren’t these for performing in though? The coat for instance, something Pat Butcher might wear for the Xmas special.

Gucci used to have lovely clothes but has been ruined by Alessandro Michele, like Hedi Slimane did at Yves Saint Laurent and Riccardo Tisci at Givenchy IMO.
