AIBU?

To ask when payday is?

FGSholdthedoor · 24/11/2017 08:58

I have baby brains and for some reason I've confused myself and expected to be paid today Confused

My last wage came in on the 27th last month. I've since also started maternity leave.

My wage gets calculated between the 14th and 14th (I think) and I get paid for the month behind.
Also if I remember correctly my company always does an early pay day in December around the 18/19th.

I'm sure someone on here knows how it works.
Is it payday next week?

If so I'm in a pickle as I used up quite a bit of this months wage for Christmas presents and last min baby bits Sad

You should have been paid today. If the money's not gone in I'd be kicking up a massive fuss hun

Unless you know the OP or work at the same place how on earth can you possibly know?

Can you give your last 6 pay dates in a list to see if there is a pattern?

I get paid 26th (unless it falls on weekend like this month and then it's last working day before weekend. IE today.)

December it's usually a few days before Xmas, can vary a little. I imagine it's 22nd this year.

OP ring your work and ask. It's not that difficult.

Does anyone know where my remote control is?

Your remote control is beside the cushion in your armchair, about to fall completely out of sight. Wink

I get paid every fourth Friday, if yours is monthly will it not be the same date every month or at least on the last day of every month?

Oh and we're both public sector (NHS)...we don't all get paid the same time. My last job (also NHS, different trust) paid 25th of the month.

Lots of places will do the last Friday of every month (or a different day)

Surely you have worked at your company long enough to neighbor know the system or look back at your payslips from last year to see how things are adjusted?

I work in a supermarket so I get paid every 4 weeks on the Friday, my last payday was the 10th so my next payday is December 8th. Because it's awkward to keep up with the changing dates sometimes our supermarket gives everyone a pocket calender every January that has every payday marked on for the year that I keep handy in my phone case so I can see at a glance when I'm next getting paid.

If all people want to comment is "why would I know" "why don't you know" then what's the point Confused

Jeez I know it's not the smartest question but as I said I was hoping to get some ideas based on the info I provided.

I have since found out there's been a mess up and they've had to switch it to Monday. It should have been today.

But, how would I know is the only correct answer unless by some fluke a poster happens to work in the same place as you.

People telling you when they get paid are the pointless answers

People are asking you why you are asking. It's a far more sensible question than yours was, to be fair, you can't really complain.
It isn't even an aibu!

Everyone else's payroll seems so simple conpared to mine!
I get paid the Thursday before the last working Friday, except in December when I am paid the Thursday before Christmas.

I end up with far too many 5 week gaps between pay as I could be paid on a Thursday but the month runs to the following Wednesday or Thursday. This year I've had 5 5 week pay gaps :(

My OH is paid either the 27th or the last Friday (I can't remember but definitely one of the above) and ex is paid on the 27th (csa arrangement).

Ffs.. why all the “you ok hun” etc. The OP explained her dilemma and whilst no one could possibly know the exact answer I can see why she was asking, which she has explained. Does it really necessitate bitchy sarcastic piss taking answers?
