AIBU?

Just why would you do this?

Second aibu in 2 days. I must be a right grumpy old cow. Or maybe I am just surrounded by twats.

I logged onto Facebook earlier to see a post from a friend. The family cat died yesterday and she posted yesterday that her youngest dd has been really affected by it. Today's post is a photo of the little girl on a sofa looking sad and on the verge of tears with the caption. "Hate seeing my little girl so sad over tiddles"

Just why? What level of attention seeking is this? Aibu to think she is an utter twat? ( I actually feel this will be unanimous Smile)

One of my old Facebook friends took a picture of her DD in the back of an ambulance!!! Like who does this?

Also fucking annoying:
Checking into hospital

DSis posted birthday messages the other day to her friend, gushing about what a fab friend she was yadda, yadda, yadda. Only 6 months ago she was slagging her off.

itsonkyme My thoughts exactly. I think some posters here are definitely guilty of these sorts of posts on Facebook themselves 😊

It’s awful the worse ones are the people that post pics of their kid sick in a hospital bed...why would you do that?

There’s someone on my fb who’s son suffers really badly from croup and has done for many years (I think he’s about 9/10 now) and every time he ends up in hospital she posts photos of him in the hospital bed all sad. It really irritates me. He’s ill. Leave the poor lad alone!

You’re right, your friend is just an attention whore. I can’t stand it when people are fishing for compliments or sympathy, I have no time for needy folk.

The best thing about Facebook is that you can unfollow people or hide certain posts. If only real life were so simple.

I have a few friends who do stuff like this constantly. I actually had to remove someone a few days ago for posting a photo of her clearly very ill child with puke on his clothes and wth his head over a bucket looking mournful. I just don't get it. Why on earth do people do it? Seems to be attention seeking to me, but this person rarely gets any replies on stuff like that (the puking photo was the last straw but there has also been other gems like taking a photo of her baby in the back of an ambulance not long ago, with a caption of 'another sleepless night, great') so its not working if its for that...

One of ex-FB friends gave an almost-daily commentary of her divorce proceedings and tagged her ex-husband in all of them.
