Your favourite hotels...in the north of England only

What are your favourite hotels ever. I mean luxury, great food, etc etc

Trying to plan a 40th and this is my inspiration!

Loads of these are lovely (Rudding Park; Wynyard). I'd also recommend Raithwaite Hall in Whitby (especially if you have a dog!!!) x

Beech hotel in lake district

Doxford Hall Hotel and Spa in Northumberland. Dh and I stayed there this summer, and it is lovely - wonderful staff, beautiful grounds and hotel, and gorgeous food.

Oh yes Swinton Park! Doing a French cookery course there in a couple of months, it looks amazing

Oh this thread is brilliant. I love a good hotel stay, and staying in the North means we could do a one nighter at some stage.
