MP's just voted that they are not sentient, and cannot feel emotions or pain.

''British Veterinary Association Senior Vice President Gudrun Ravetz said: "It is extremely concerning a marginal majority of MPs have voted down this seminal clause.''
"...this action undermines the Government’s previous promises the UK will continue to be known for our high standards of animal health and welfare post-Brexit.''

They can come and meet my rescue dog if they want to see that animals do feel fear, unfortunately we don’t know what happened to him during his time as a stray but the scars on his legs give us a good idea and it’s going to take a huge amount of work to help him change those feelings (but so far things are going well).

Another joy of Brexit, reduced animal welfare laws, and what possible benefit will that give society? Someone mentioned above the human rights act, as a disabled person I can’t wait to see what they do with that.... as others before me have said I’m also genuinely concerned about the way things are going
