Trying to pull myself together

Our home is in such a state I won't let anybody in or open the door properly

Even if it was tidy I can't afford to decorate it and no energy

I'm overweight and overwhelmed and comfort myself binge eating into an early grave

My health is awful. My home is awful. I'm crap at relationships and unemployed currently

Need help pulling myself up and together. Motivate me please. I want to run away but I can't

every little helps.

everything you do towards a clean house. even if it does not improve things dramatically you are at least stopping get it worse.

I followed the if everywhere is a mess... say ten on the really bad scale, work on getting everywhere down to a 9. (toilet bath, basin, kitchen sink and getting rid of the rubbish. )

others work best when they do a small area properly. (eg one foot square. ) and get a bigger and bigger area sorted every day.

I always found that I could do somethingwhen overwhelmed and not knowing where to start by setting myself a task of 5 things to throw or put away. or five minutes. often once started managed to do more than the first 5.

we were recommended at a sen project to set managable goals . (5 minutes or 10 minutes 3 times a week) and reward yourself.

You sound like me a few months ago.

Getting out of the house and onto a college course really helped me. Once I had routine in my life, the rest fell into place. The house became tidier as I was more motivated and couldn't sit back and think "ugh, I can't be bothered, I'll do it tomorrow." And I've noticed my weight is coming off without me really trying (probably has something to do with walking to college and not being sat right by the bread and toaster all day). I also see a light at the end of the tunnel re finances.

Is there any way you could start college or voluntary work?
