These people rarely are convicted, because it's one person's word against another; there are virtually never any witnesses; and the onus is on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond reasonable doubt. Unlike other crimes, this works hugely in the defendant's favour. As they well know.

When you've got someone who boasts about sexually assaulting women (to the media 🙄🙄), combined with a significant number of women actually accusing him of same, it takes a certain level of determined blinkered-ness to give him the benefit of the doubt. Me, I'm happy to jump to conclusions.

Again, innocent until proven guilty is a legal mechanism for court rooms, not whether something happened or not. The vast majority of rapists are never convicted, do their crimes cease to exist without that conviction?
