I need to vent. I am so pissed off. He’s sitting next to me snoring his arse off. I feel like ripping his head off 😑

You lot are so pathetic

SinisterBumFacedCat · 11/11/2017 17:06

The issue was no using the phone at work with me, but starting a whole thread to vent and complain about something that really should be reported to boss.

As for the other "haven't you all got lives" mumsnet bingo passive aggressive comment - YAAAAAWN

We clearly haven't

WhatALoadOfOldBollocks · 11/11/2017 17:14

I really think you should report him OP. It's not fair at all that he gets to sleep at work with you picking up the slack. Plus you've already addressed it with him so he's has his chance.

Sorry that I decided to vent on here because I needed to complain to someone and my dh was still asleep that time. Like no ones ever complained about work colleagues on here before πŸ™„.

I will talk to him again next week. He’s already been pulled up on sleeping by some other colleagues before so it’s a gradual picture building up.

OP Keep a record for a month if you haven't already done so. Then report him. Or tell HR that's what you plan to do and do it.

I think all of us know job-slackers. But actually sleeping on the job is a heck of a problem when you're dealing with critical stuff and leaving it all to a partner ....

On top of which I think you're in a lab, so he's leaving you to do the critical stuff which affects all of us.

bimbobaggins · 11/11/2017 18:07

Ha ha hate , glad you liked it !

SinisterBumFacedCat · 11/11/2017 18:14

Ok so in your first few posts you said you didn't want the hassle of reporting him. Hopefully this thread has helped you decide to address this IRL.

Every little helps.

Bubblebubblepop · 11/11/2017 18:17

I had someone who worked for me who used to fall asleep at work. He was quite seriously ill, but wanted to keep working. Obviously he wasn't really capable of doing the job so we made him "redundant" and let him go with a pay out.

Stormzy · 11/11/2017 18:47

I used to be able to use my phone as an NHS worker on night shifts. Thank god, as I was often doing arms reach 24/7 obs on MH patients so would just be sitting there watching somebody sleep for hours and hours on end. Or watching CCTV of somebody in a kind of prison cell for 12 hours. Sleeping. They were always sleeping or wanking, but just needed to write obs every 15 minutes. Would have gone mad without MN.

Also everyone got a 2 hour break for a nap.

Not all jobs have the same rules πŸ€·πŸ½β€β™€οΈ

Stormzy, you sound like a credit to mental health services. I’m so glad you weren’t working with me.
