Can you do this? Someone to help prompt showers and other self care, maybe go on a walk with you and so on?

I* know mrsjayy but I'd feel so uncomfortable about it.

I know that's not logical. But I could say to someone I was paying 'please help me, the kitchen looks like a bomb has hit it' and I'd feel very uncomfortable saying that to a volunteer.*

Fair enough you don't want to feel awkward and uncomfy ☺

Sounds like a fantastic idea to me. I have no idea if it's funded or not in able to get a paid for carer (if not, it should be as mental health is just as important as physical health!) but if you can afford to pay for one, absolutely YADNBU for wanting one!
People to help out others going for walks, getting them up, doing their shopping etc - all sounds like such little things but for depression or anxiety it really is something you sometimes need help with.
