PricillaQueenOfTheDesert · 09/11/2017 16:37

I went to the opera for the first time last week. I was in tears at the overture, before the curtain had even gone up. It was Die Fledermaus and it was wonderful.

At least give us some context.

liz70 · 09/11/2017 16:39

Admittedly, the acting in "Overshadowed" had me close to tears too.

The80sweregreat · 09/11/2017 16:40

I cry over sad songs or music that reminds me of my late mum - rememberance sunday is coming up and i shed a tear then. as you age you tend to cry more i think!

YouthsAStuffWillNotEndure · 09/11/2017 16:52

PricillaQueenOfTheDesert the overture to Die Fledermaus is glorious - I've put it on right now!

I always blub at the opera esp "La Traviata" and any Puccini or Mozart

ColinCreevy · 09/11/2017 16:52

Do you need some attention?

Itsanicehotel · 09/11/2017 17:04

Well that’s great. Enjoy it. There’s not enough happiness in this world so grab this moment.

MatildaTheCat · 09/11/2017 17:06

I’m guessing you’ve found your missing sock inside your duvet cover.

IJustLostTheGame · 09/11/2017 17:11

Yanbu if you've got yourself your dream job or won the lottery.
Yabu if you've just run over a kitten.

happinessischocolate · 09/11/2017 17:17

I assume you have chocolate then 😊

BlackRod6 · 09/11/2017 17:19

Have you been struggling with mental health and have realised you now feel happy? If this is what you're saying, then that's wonderful and you should shout about it! Smile if not, ignore me!

The80sweregreat · 09/11/2017 17:23

socks in the duvet cover , this has happened to me fairly recently and i was so pleased! good job i didnt throw out its partner.

nothateasybeingreen · 09/11/2017 17:42

I cried at the fireworks the other night. Proper sob. They were just so magical .. in my defence my period started the night before.

SaucyJack · 09/11/2017 17:47

Is this cat-related?

2017SoFarSoGood · 09/11/2017 17:53

because it's Friday? oh wait, it is not Friday. I am sad. Is it unreasonable to cry about that?

Come on. Tell us.

fullofhope03 · 09/11/2017 17:55

I'm happy that you're happy OP - though do feel free to elaborate Smile

Smile Flowers ignore the nasty posts, I'm glad for you OP - not calling you Hannah Baker.

tiddlyipom · 10/11/2017 03:07

Aw, just seen your linked thread, well done to you Flowers

ThaliaLuxurySpa · 10/11/2017 03:56

OP,

Ah, having read your linked thread, NOW this one makes more sense...
(And I totally retract my earlier quip. But hoped you enjoyed the cute dancing babies in the 2nd one, anyway!).

You've done amazingly well in rebuilding your life, and deserve to have many, many more "crying out of sheer happiness" (and relief, I imagine?) times. Flowers

Keep on keeping on...

2017SoFarSoGood · 10/11/2017 04:47

Well now that you shared the reason I am so very happy that you are happy. Congratulations. That is huge. Good work. 💐

TitaniasCloset · 10/11/2017 09:42

facedontfit · 10/11/2017 10:39
