To feel devastated by this (lighthearted) **'Our Girl' Spoiler Alert - title edited by MNHQ**

This is so fucking embarrassing I've name changed.

If you watched Our Girl, you will know that one of the main characters Elvis died last week. I had a major crush on him and I cried on the episode that he died because it was very sad how they portrayed his love interests grief.

However here is the embarrassing bit - a week later and I still feel sad about it!! Every time I see stories about it in the news I feel really sad. Now, the rational part of me has thought it might be because my DH looks like Luke Pasqualino (who plays Elvis), especially when he was in Skins but facially he still looks like him now. So I think my sadness is because maybe I relate him to my DH?!?

Tell me I'm not fucking bonkers. Please tell me about your similar stories to stop myself feeling so stupid - and don't worry I've already given myself one of these

I'm still a little upset that Cal was stabbed in Casualty. Didn't see it coming and haven't really watched since. Pretty pathetic really as a grown woman, and I didn't really love the character or anything. You have my condolences

How people can be so sad to be addicted to TV programmes so much that they are rude and abusive to another human being for telling them how a bloody TV programme ends is beyond me. It’s a TV programme people!!!

If it helps I mourn characters that die when I've binge watched a series. Feels like I've spent a lot of time with them because I haven't moved from the sofa in front of the tv in days

Same here - had been avoiding anything with ‘Our Girl’ in the title as I have been away and had no internet access.
Was Going to watch it tonight and am really pissed off now.

I'm not arsed I haven't even heard of the programme but it's annoying opening something you have no idea will be related and finding out he dies in the end.

I did feel similar when I saw the final episode of Medium. And the one where Lucy dies in ER.

It was clearly an accident! These days if you don't want a show to be ruined for you then you need to be up to date with watching the episodes.

I cried when Elvis died. DP and I did say though that when she accepted his proposal that one of them was bound to die. It was so, so sad :(

I love Our Girl and wish that the original actress (can't remember her name) would come back.
