I think it's a classic. I've just sat here watching it without my children. It gives me the warm fuzzies!

I love it and can't wait to see Paddington 2 next weekend!

badbadhusky · 05/11/2017 19:53

We saw it at the cinema. There was spontaneous applause and cheers as the credits rolled. I’m really looking forwards to the follow up.

Ivygarden · 05/11/2017 19:57

We watched it for the first time this weekend and my DS is 3 and laughed out loud at various parts which was wonderful! I haven’t seen him fully engage with a film like this before. Actually, the other one we love is Zootropolis- another one to watch!

ForalltheSaints · 05/11/2017 19:59

I thought Sally Hawkins and Julie Walters were inspired casting.

Growingboys · 05/11/2017 20:02

YANBU. I love it, and I'm a mean old cynic who hates most films.

(Even if I do think slightly mean thoughts about Hugh Bonneville....)

Growingboys · 05/11/2017 20:02

(I'm sure you all know what I'm on about)

RangeTesKopeks · 05/11/2017 20:07

Aww YANBU!! :) love Paddington. Definitely want to see the next one :)

Tippz · 05/11/2017 20:13

It's cute. Especially this time of year. Smile

Well it IS Christmas. Grin

AugustRose · 05/11/2017 20:14

We all love it here. A sign of a good film is 6 year old DS2 in fits of giggles and Paddington is definitely one of those. DS1 (21) is coming home for a visit from uni on Wednesday so I am hoping to book all 6 of us to see Paddington 2 on Saturday. I do like Hugh B too.

iamyourequal · 05/11/2017 20:14

Yanbu. It's a fabulous film.

Love, love, love

LipstickHandbagCoffee · 05/11/2017 20:19

We love it, family fave. My kids would watch this daily

dinosaursandtea · 05/11/2017 20:21

I’ve been inspired to put it on - I’m far too hormonal! He’s in the station all by himself and it’s dark and he’s hungry! sobs into marmalade sandwiches

dinosaursandtea · 05/11/2017 20:23

And his parents died! What kind of dark, twisted film is this? I hate all of you.

CakeNinja · 05/11/2017 20:24

Who is hugh bonneville and what has he done?!
My dc all want to go and watch the second one - I slept through the first one and will probably do the same with this one Grin

MissEliza · 05/11/2017 20:26

No it’s on of my favourite family films. I’m looking forward to seeing the new one at the weekend

littlemisscomper · 05/11/2017 20:28

You're all being very unreasonable!! To be fair I haven't actually watched the film, just seen clips and trailers, but the make me uncomfortable! The Paddington books are so completely different.

MrsFionaCharming · 05/11/2017 20:31

I hated the Paddington books as a kid, I thought they were really dull. So when the first film came out, I refused to watch it. Eventually DP forced me, and it’s now one of my favourite films.

I’ve never preferred a film to its book before!

Very, very excited to see the new one!

LipstickHandbagCoffee · 05/11/2017 20:33

Hugh bonneville has a very salacious backstory, with someone who wasn’t his wife

QueenVictoria11 · 05/11/2017 20:35

YANBU. Love it too.

The80sweregreat · 05/11/2017 20:36

Gosh, HB in a scandal ? He looks too wholesome.,

LipstickHandbagCoffee · 05/11/2017 20:41

I know!he has that whole diffident bumbling posh thing going on
Anyhoo, yes a perfunctory google and you’ll be aware of what the story was

Mulberry72 · 05/11/2017 20:46

YADNBU OP! I love Paddington! DS and I are going to see part two next week Grin

Pumperthepumper · 05/11/2017 20:50
