Lego! I'm sick of it! Prising it out of my toddler's mouth, mopping up the tears when my 5 year old's impossibly long car falls apart. Breaking up the fights when one child wrecks the other's creation. Standing barefooted on a microscopically tiny yet painfully sharp bit that got left behind.

And I can't make ANYTHING with them. And they're EVERYWHERE AngryAngry

Personal music players. Public transport wouldn't be such hell if they didn't exist.

Keeping dogs as pets.

And a world without football would be a wonderful thing.

‘Nude’ tights aka how to waste £5 putting your foot straight through one pair, having the second pair ladder before you’re out the door and the third pair’s gusset try to make an cunning escape to your knees...

Bastarding fortnite and fifa. Bane of my life despite my DCs only allowed computer games on a Friday evening and for a limited time at the weekend. The constant wittering about it is v tedious.

Also, totally agree with all the pps about scented sanitary towels etc. The stench in this aisle in my local Tesco is like a branch of Lush. Rank.

The London to Aberdeen mega bus. 12 hours of hell. Especially the night bus.

FaFoutis · 07/09/2018 00:13

Mobile phones. Everyone except me is evolving into idiots because of mobile phones.

FaFoutis · 07/09/2018 00:14

Balls too.
And security lights.

QuestionableMouse · 07/09/2018 00:15

@BigBlueBubble

You could donate it to a charity shop or stick it on eBay. So wasteful to throw it in the bin.

toomuchtooold · 07/09/2018 06:33

London to Aberdeen? God that's horrific. I took the Glasgow to London a few times that was bad enough, but Aberdeen's about another three hours, no?

Do you still get the complimentary breakfast at Wigan services at 4 in the morning?

stopfuckingshoutingatme · 07/09/2018 06:48

Wait till they discover electronics

You will then love and miss Lego

They do still
Play but it’s a poor second choice Sad

The word and the concept of ‘triggering’

Satsumaeater
Tinned tuna

Friend. My cat will find where you live and kill you. I'd have to apply some serious superpowers to stop her.

Satsuma I would get a body guard as many cats are now after you, and they are seeking a minimum of death (by cat firing squad) for this suggestion. 😂 My cat loves tuna, I wouldn't be too afraid of her she runs away from small birds.

stayathomer · 07/09/2018 07:04

Fortnite here too, the bain of modern day living!!( I love Lego because it means they're not going on about Fortnite! Sorry OP!!!)

Penguinsnpandas · 07/09/2018 07:05

Another vote for mobile phones here.

Wasps!! Absolutely no purpose at all whatsoever and nasty temperaments. No need for them at all

It pains me to say it because I hate them too, but they actually are really useful - they eat undesirable insects and are pollenators like bees.

Email & mobile phones
Then the expectation that I will answer & solve their problem immediately whether it's the middle of the night or the weekend or my holiday would be reduced - mainly clients & contractors
They are no better at communicating but everything is done in a rush because the expectation is that it's all done in an instant.
I remember when instructions were issued by fax - projects didn't run slower but the angst & expectation of always answering wasn't there it was limited to the working day.

Open plan offices
Crowd control barriers that mean you have to walk half a mile up and down the same airport hall before reaching whatever station of the cross you were aiming for

MorningsEleven · 07/09/2018 20:30

I second squashies. I told my kids they could go to Pets at Home and choose a dog toy. I believe that makes me clueless and embarrassing. Job done for today 😁
