I know this a strange question.

Obviously I would prefer my child to be well than ill and I'm sure we've gotten off lightly but is it strange than DD has never vomited at 4.5 years old?

Other than bringing up milk as a baby she's never been sick. We've had colds & runny bottoms but never actually any vomit.

I'm not complaining as tbh I'm not good with sick anyway but I'm just curious as to whether it's unusual? All my parent friends have cleaned up their fair share of puke.

I was going to say be careful what you wish for! I said something similar about DD(3) the other day and yesterday she had a coughing fit that ended up with her vomiting all over one of my sofa cushions. She seemed remarkably unfazed by it considering she hasn't really vomited before mind you.

I remember vomiting as a child (mostly due to car sickness as we lived in middle of nowhere and were forever travelling to visit family) but didn’t ever have diarrhoea until I was 19 and caught a travellers bug overseas. Now as an adult if I catch a stomach bug I am more likely to be hit with vomiting than diarrhoea. I guess different people are susceptible to different illnesses.

Were pukers in our house (DH, me and DD 2.5YO) but rarely get the 💩
