To ask for money from ex?

Ex doesn't pay maintenance. There is a fun fair near me for the half term and I want to take the kids tomorrow as it's the only day they do wrist bands (very expensive with 3 kids otherwise) however money is tight so can't afford it. If it was the Thursday it would be no problem as that's when I get paid. Would it be unreasonable to ask ex if he would pay so they can go?? I tried hinting yesterday but he didn't offer.

Too scared to report him allegedly - but obviously not that scared to let him have full access to her home and kids.

For fuck’s sake are you really so naive that you think stopping a potentially violent man from seeing his kids is going to end well?!

OP doesn’t need this stress. I’m sure she’d love to see the back of her tight-arsed ex but she doesn’t have much say in the matter does she?

FFS on the one hand women are blamed for not letting their kids know their father. On the other they’re blamed for exposing their kids to a violent father.

Seriously can’t win.

OP mine doesn’t pay either. And I wouldn’t ruin the quasi-relationship that has been established over the years by asking. I know exactly where you’re coming from and have a nice time at the fair with your kids.

I stopped contact due to drugs/violence. I've had malicious reports to SS, he's threatened suicide, made death threats, threaten's to take me too court every couple of months and has tried to abduct DD.

I've only coped with it all because I have a supportive partner, if I'd been by myself I think I would of been too scared of him to risk upsetting him.

I still think I'm going to end up one of the two women killed a week by there partner or ex. I left three years ago.
