Daughter age 4 is very excited about Halloween as first year she really understands it.
She has picked her costume and telling everyone about it.

Found out this morning her surgery admission date is Halloween 🙈

We live on a busy road but not really a family road, mainly shared houses of students and then some houses with lone couples so about 3 kids including 2 at mine on the whole road.

Would it be cheeky to knock on a few of the doors to ask if they didn't mind her coming and knocking a day early ( I could even provide the sweets )

Or would this be rude 🙈

Maybe you could have a pumpkin balloon at one house if she isn't allowed sweets?

I dont answer the door to normal trick and treaters but would if you explained before hand. Hope surgery goes ok x

Being part of a nice plan to make Halloween happen for a child would really make my evening

I’m obviously the Halloween equivalent of Scrooge. Please don’t knock on my door before during or after. I don’t allow my kids to beg at doors so don’t take kindly to having my evenings disturbed. If you did happen to catch me I would probably say ‘here have some sweets now as we’re not in for the next week!’
