Person A leaves a pile of paperwork by the shredder for a couple of days.
Person B gets fed up of waiting for it to shred itself and does the job, jamming the shredder in the process.
B informs A they have done the dirty work, now A can unjam the shredder as B sure isn't going to.
A says no, you broke it, you fix it.

Who is more wrong/right? A for not finishing the job in the first place or B for leaving the machine out of order?

Which would annoy you more?

A should apologise for being a lazy arse and say however it is Bs fault and b needs to fix shredder. However A should offer to help B and fix the shredder together. Teamwork!

elevenclips · 17/10/2017 21:29

As bad as each other imo

Bettercallsaul1 · 17/10/2017 21:30

C, the manufacturer of the substandard shredder, is clearly responsible.

RatOnnaStick · 17/10/2017 21:30

Not sensitive. Just out of date.

I cannot imagine A unjamming the shredder as A was too lazy/busy to shred in thppe first place. Unjamming is a bigger job than shredding!

B has been careless.

Perhaps A&B work together to fix shredder.

Redactio · 17/10/2017 21:32

D. Call facilities.

PidgeonSpray · 17/10/2017 21:43

My work place is full of As unfortunately. Always assuming someone else will finish their crap or job for them

A should have shred it.

B was trying to help.

Fix the damn thing together

BlondeB83 · 17/10/2017 21:45

B is a twat.

just5morepeas · 17/10/2017 21:49

B

itshappening · 17/10/2017 21:51

B, I would tell them it was not for shredding and you were wondering where you had left it.

Tabsicle · 17/10/2017 21:55

B

educatingarti · 17/10/2017 21:57

My parents had an argument of this type (not about a shredder) when my mum was expecting me. It ended up with my dad pushing mum down the stairs ( according to my mother who does have form for exaggeration). Just don't let it get to that stage! A should admit that they were being lazy and that the pile of shredding was irritating for B. B should admit that they were being passive aggressive in leaving the shredder jammed because they were annoyed that A hadn't done the shredding.

Hassled · 17/10/2017 21:57

B is more right. A would never have shredded that paperwork and A should be grateful B made an effort to deal with it.

Hassled · 17/10/2017 21:59

All shredders are shit anyway. I've never come across one that doesn't jam at the first sign of any serious use.

Neverknowing · 17/10/2017 22:09

B was in the wrong.
A would annoy me more though. I hate when people leave things out, it honestly makes me think you're assuming someone else will do it. I feel like the only reason B would get so annoyed is because it happens a lot and they feel they're following you around picking up after you. It must have been there for a while for them to be so annoyed.

bridgetreilly · 17/10/2017 22:09

Both, obviously.

Sparklingbrook · 17/10/2017 22:12

The bottom line is that if A had done their shredding rather than leaving it there the whole situation would have been avoided.

Jux · 17/10/2017 22:29

Why on earth didn't B just put the papers back on your desk? Isn't that PA enough?

Opheliasgoldenwine · 17/10/2017 22:38

A should fix it.

DailyMailReadersAreThick · 17/10/2017 23:01

I also think A should fix it. B already did some of A's work and shouldn't have to do even more because of A's laziness.
