Very petty disagreement. Who do you side with?

Person A leaves a pile of paperwork by the shredder for a couple of days.
Person B gets fed up of waiting for it to shred itself and does the job, jamming the shredder in the process.
B informs A they have done the dirty work, now A can unjam the shredder as B sure isn't going to.
A says no, you broke it, you fix it.

Who is more wrong/right? A for not finishing the job in the first place or B for leaving the machine out of order?

I would probs be B, but B should fix the shredder.

A would then have to make B a cup of tea, while B cries over the fucking shredder.

B. the dickhead broke the shredder.

I would be laminating a sign (without breaking the laminator) stating 'Do not leave any shredding next to the shredder'. Everybody is responsible for their own shredding'.

B all the way...nobody is forcing them to break the shredder. As annoying as A is, B is being petty deliberately

B certainly shouldn't have tried to shove it all in at once silly cunt. B should have dumped it back on my desk with a face and it would have gotten done properly eventually

A. They deserve to be burned at the stake (only half joking. Seriously, if you haven't lived this you have no idea how bad it is).

I am A, dh is a heavy handed fucker who would likely break a shredder - hence B.

Why did B do the shredding? If A can't be arsed I'd just launch it in the bin.

But yeah, jam the shredder you sort it out. And either way it seems a jammed shredder is unlikely to affect anyone but B anyway :)

Yeah title was shit, sorry. B announced what they'd done in a passive-agressive email.

I'm going against the grain here- A. If the paperwork is that sensitive it needs shredding they should have just done it.

Oh no B has now lost any support from me with that latest news. PA emails-not on in an adult office environment.

B. None if their business about what A does unless their Manager. A shouldn't have left it though but B loses this argument.

I initially assumed it was at home in which case two days is nothing for shredder queue and B is being a twat.

If it's at work though ... A is less in the right but B is a sanctimonious twat.

If the shredding was private/sensitive information it shouldn't have been left by the shredder for a few days.

Does B know how to unjam the shredder? because I have to admit I would have to ask someone to show me (my job involves very little shredding though)
