Very petty disagreement. Who do you side with?

Person A leaves a pile of paperwork by the shredder for a couple of days.
Person B gets fed up of waiting for it to shred itself and does the job, jamming the shredder in the process.
B informs A they have done the dirty work, now A can unjam the shredder as B sure isn't going to.
A says no, you broke it, you fix it.

Who is more wrong/right? A for not finishing the job in the first place or B for leaving the machine out of order?

Which would annoy you more?

B
The twat

Sparklingbrook · 17/10/2017 21:02

It a bit 'lazy Top Trumps'. Grin

bertsdinner · 17/10/2017 21:02

B. They broke the shredder.

ShoesHaveSouls · 17/10/2017 21:04

My Dh would be person A Grin

I would probs be B, but B should fix the shredder.

A would then have to make B a cup of tea, while B cries over the fucking shredder.

AmysTiara · 17/10/2017 21:06

B. the dickhead broke the shredder.

Sparklingbrook · 17/10/2017 21:06

I would be laminating a sign (without breaking the laminator) stating 'Do not leave any shredding next to the shredder'. Everybody is responsible for their own shredding'.

MissesBloom · 17/10/2017 21:06

B all the way...nobody is forcing them to break the shredder. As annoying as A is, B is being petty deliberately

RatOnnaStick · 17/10/2017 21:10

B certainly shouldn't have tried to shove it all in at once silly cunt. B should have dumped it back on my desk with a Hmm face and it would have gotten done properly eventually Blush

See, what I'm preoccupied with is that thread title is 'Who do you side with?' and op asks 'Which would annoy you more?'

Arghh.

Side with A, B more annoying.

Ttbb · 17/10/2017 21:13

A. They deserve to be burned at the stake (only half joking. Seriously, if you haven't lived this you have no idea how bad it is).

EllaHen · 17/10/2017 21:13

I am A, dh is a heavy handed fucker who would likely break a shredder - hence B.

Mummyoflittledragon · 17/10/2017 21:13

Buy a new shredder. That’ll teach him!

Sparklingbrook · 17/10/2017 21:14

How about some shredder training?

Do you know for sure it was B? Have they confessed?

Italiangreyhound · 17/10/2017 21:15

B of course.

And I love the person A and person B and think it's totally right not to identify yourself.

Floellabumbags · 17/10/2017 21:17

I'd bang their bloody heads together.

Jengnr · 17/10/2017 21:18

Why did B do the shredding? If A can't be arsed I'd just launch it in the bin.

But yeah, jam the shredder you sort it out. And either way it seems a jammed shredder is unlikely to affect anyone but B anyway :)

RatOnnaStick · 17/10/2017 21:19

Yeah title was shit, sorry. B announced what they'd done in a passive-agressive email.

I'm going against the grain here- A. If the paperwork is that sensitive it needs shredding they should have just done it.

Sparklingbrook · 17/10/2017 21:21

Oh no B has now lost any support from me with that latest news. PA emails-not on in an adult office environment.

maddiemookins16mum · 17/10/2017 21:23

B. None if their business about what A does unless their Manager. A shouldn't have left it though but B loses this argument.

VioletCharlotte · 17/10/2017 21:24

B. The pile of shredding wasn't affecting anyone. B wanted it shredded and in the process broke the shredder. Up to B to fix it.

B sounds like an arse!

MrsHathaway · 17/10/2017 21:24

I initially assumed it was at home in which case two days is nothing for shredder queue and B is being a twat.

If it's at work though ... A is less in the right but B is a sanctimonious twat.

Sparklingbrook · 17/10/2017 21:24

If the shredding was private/sensitive information it shouldn't have been left by the shredder for a few days.

SparklyUnicornPoo · 17/10/2017 21:25

Does B know how to unjam the shredder? because I have to admit I would have to ask someone to show me (my job involves very little shredding though)
