Do you have a 'one that got away'?

My DH is incredible, and I wouldn't change my life with him for anything.
However, when we met, there was sort of a crossroads, between him and another man, and I chose my husband. I've never regretted this. But, I do often think about that other man, and what my life would've been, and I feel like that's unreasonable towards my husband.
So, am I being unreasonable to think in this way? Does anyone else have a one that got away?

No - but I had one with whom I'd dodged the bullet.

Had to completely distance myself from mine; made me way too intense, easy to see that, in retrospect, I was being strung along.
Led to meeting my DP and whole lot of shit then came up in (unrelated) counselling.
Can’t listen to Kings of Leon without getting enormous lump in throat. Probably a bit pathetic on my part, but that is life.

I do, but the one I ended up with is a thousand times better.

I had a FWB who I developed quite intense feelings for (you always do don't you!) we were fond of each other and good friends but it was mainly about the sex especially for him. The chemistry was amazing.

He went travelling for a year and I was gutted. During that time I met my DP and we clicked instantly. When FWB returned he declared undying love, wanted to give it a proper go and I told him no. He decided to cut contact entirely which was fine with me because I didn't think it was fair on DP to be in contact with him anyway.

7 years on we both have children and will send each other messages on Facebook to congratulate on a new birth or commiserate if we see something goes wrong etc. I love DP and the one that got away doesn't compare - but my heart still gives a little twinge when I see his name popping up every couple of years.

I broke UK with my long term boyfriend when in my early 20s to go travelling.

15 years later going through a horrendous divorce I sometimes wondered how my life would have been if we had of stayed together.

That was until I saw his face splashed across tabloids as he was a city fraudster and got caught.

I would have bloody murdered him if we had of been together!!!!
