So far I have The omen theme song, Psycho theme song, Thriller, Ghostbusters, I put a spell on you, witchcraft by Frank Sinatra. I can't think of any more good ones!

Senior I'm a pagan and it's our new year. We have a tongue in cheek traditional Halloween party, usually with about 50 stereotypical witches, and play all the traditional games. You must be a joy to live with. Hmm

"tiptoe through the tulips. That is really creepy."

m.youtube.com/watch?v=zcSlcNfThUA

Fuck, yeah! How was that ever a hit?! Confused

HateSummer · 05/10/2017 10:29

Tiptoe through the tulips was a hit? Confused and I'm shocked it was sang by a creepy man.

liz70 · 05/10/2017 10:32

Actually, I think it must have been a Milli Vanilli style fake. I think creepy man must have been miming to a 1920s gramophone recording of a woman singing the song.

Joeymaynardslimegreendress · 05/10/2017 10:33

‘What an atmosphere’

Russ Abbott

alibongo5 · 05/10/2017 10:54

@AnneGrommit I'd never thought of that but of course he is right. But as I was 30 when Cher's song came out, it didn't freak me. And I guess it wasn't just the voice but it was when the piano said "I'll play anything you want me to play" then the pause. And then he added "for now" - that was the bit I found really, really sinister!

Another one I remember being scared of as a child was "They're coming to take me away, ha ha" by the Goons.

And of course the pink elephants in Dumbo.

I'm relatively normal now, honest.

HateSummer · 05/10/2017 11:11

Milli Vanilli 😂, I checked and it was first released in 1929. You're right Creepy man must've copied it.

KindergartenKop · 05/10/2017 11:26

Ghost town. Is it by Bob Marley? Or his son or something.

FindTheLightSwitchDarren · 05/10/2017 11:48

Halloween has always been a big party where I'm from in Ireland. Not just about dressing up, trick or treat and definitely not just for children. It isn't an American import. It's always been an important date for everyone where I'm from (I grew up in the 80s and 90s, so not recent).

JustAnotherPoster00 · 05/10/2017 11:54

Greens Keepers - lotion

fairypuff · 05/10/2017 11:58

Apologies if this has been mentioned before, I don't have time to RTFT but wanted to suggest Neighbourhood by Space.

Cheekyandfreaky · 05/10/2017 12:00

The theme song for 'Requiem for a dream' still creeps me out to this day. I hate it when it randomly gets played- one year they used it in the 'X-factor' promo ads- JUST WHY?!

IamPickleRick · 05/10/2017 12:07

Waking the witch - Kate bush. Has some weird demon voice on it.
The weeping song - Nick Cave

I find Silver Springs quite scary as well. "I'll follow you down till the sound of my voice will haunt you" Confused

Willow2017 · 05/10/2017 12:15

Senior

Halloween is awesome. I dont have a party but go mad with outside decorations and props for all the guisers and my kids. Best day of the year Smile

LinaBo · 05/10/2017 12:17

Theme song for Charmed is a cover of The Smiths' "How soon is now" by Love spit love. Grin

gotthemoononastick · 05/10/2017 12:23

'Hush hush sweet Charlotte,Charlotte don't you cry'....shudder.

PsychoPumpkin · 05/10/2017 12:25

Season 1 of American horror story’s theme song. I can’t even listen to it.

Laulau79 · 05/10/2017 12:35

Jamie T - Zombie

dazzlingdeborahrose · 05/10/2017 12:58

I've always found Hazard by Richard Marx quite disturbing.

steff13 · 05/10/2017 15:59

Red Right Hand by Nick Cave

steff13 · 05/10/2017 16:06

Ffs adult halloween party - what next

Is this really the first time you've heard of an adult Halloween party?

BreakfastAtStephanies · 05/10/2017 16:15

Ode to Billie Joe - Bobbie Gentry

Totally creepy.

Weedsnseeds1 · 05/10/2017 21:13

Enola Gay

RockNRollNerd · 07/10/2017 10:45

@TheQueenSnortsAvocado - Grin great minds think alike simultaneously. It's a fabulous song - I had three 10 year olds wandering round my house singing it a couple of years ago - happy days.

Truly creepy but not in a monsters and ghouls way is , it gives me the shivers every time I hear it! I also suspect that Lindsey Buckingham's atrocious plastic surgery is motivated by him trying to hide from her!

RockNRollNerd · 07/10/2017 10:50
is a better version actually - I think she was off the drugs by then and the emotions are so raw. About the three minute mark it really kicks in.

"Time casts a spell on you, but you won't forget me
I know I could have loved you, but you would not let me
I'll follow you down 'til the sound of my voice will haunt you
You'll never get away from the sound of the woman that loves you"
