Black No 1 or Christian Woman by Type O Negative

liz70 · 04/10/2017 17:19

Do I Scare You by Shakespear's Sister.

VeniVidiWeeWee · 04/10/2017 17:43

Search YouTube for Kenny Everett's Burst of the worst.

Some crackers on that, (blood transfusions, exhuming dead girlfriend etc).

KungFuEric · 04/10/2017 17:47

I was coming on to say Ghost town by the specials and see someone else had suggested it already.

It's very good but I have to skip that track when it comes on and it's night time, properly spooks me.

madameweasel · 04/10/2017 17:51

Party of the First Part by Bauhaus

Willow2017 · 04/10/2017 17:55

N0 More Tears - Ozzy Osborne
Diamond Smiles - Boomtown Rats
Edge of the World - Faith No More

Digging THe Grave - Faith No More
Poison - Alice Cooper (not strictly scarey just a great song)

DryHeave · 04/10/2017 18:01

I went to a Halloween party that also had creepy sound effects between tracks - cackles, howls, floorboards creaking, screams etc. It was great!

Igottastartthinkingbee · 04/10/2017 18:04

Ghost town by the specials - the obvious choice for me. But I see I'm not the first to suggest it!!

EJD277 · 04/10/2017 18:07

At some pivotal point you have to play Freddy Krueger's "one, two, Freddy's coming for you!" Not a classic tune, but freaks me out if the lights go down.

TheFarceAwakens · 04/10/2017 18:17

The Time Warp!

InappropriateGavels · 04/10/2017 18:17

Conversation 16 by The National sounds like it about zombies.

ForagingForFaerieGold · 04/10/2017 18:21

Cry little sister- Gerard McMan
Trick or Treat- Siouxsie and the banshees

liz70 · 04/10/2017 19:03

"Some Velvet Morning - Lydia Lunch"

Or Nancy and Lee, rather.

FindTheLightSwitchDarren · 04/10/2017 19:14

Sorry if any of these have already been suggested:

Queens of the Stoneage - Burn the Witch - great song and a bit creepy

Hawkwind - Sonic Attack - I actually wouldn't describe this as creepy, so much as terrifying! I can't listen to it, so it depends how much you want to scare your guests.

I think these are kind of halloweeny, but maybe not halloweeny enough... I'd include them on my Halloween party playlist (if I was having a Halloween party, which I'm not ), but that's mainly because I like them!

The Cure - Lovecats should be there too I think, although it isn't really 'creepy', strictly speaking

Dresden Dolls - Coin Operated Boy - as above

The Smiths - Cemetary Gates - as above

Morrissey - First of the Gang to Die - as above

FindTheLightSwitchDarren · 04/10/2017 19:15

To clarify^^; I don't like the Hawkwind song. It gives me the creeps.
