What did you all think? I was a bit disappointed Blush thought they ended it quite badly and in a really clichéd and melodramatic way.

Whatshername isn't nearly as good an actress as she thinks she is.

Groovee · 05/10/2017 13:45

They should have ended on Episode 4 and left it as a cliff hanger rather than the waste of an hour!

GladAllOver · 05/10/2017 14:19

As others have said, it could have ended perfectly well last week. The last episode was totally unnecessary and even embarrassing, especially the final talking-to-camera bit.
The only actor I could really believe was the boy. I'll bet he is already signed up for better parts - we'll see him again soon.

The talking to camera at the end was a real cop out. If you feel you have to explain your point to your audience, then you obviously aren't confident that you've shown it through the drama. I felt it undermined the episode and was overkill.

I still enjoyed it though. Yes, it was OTT but it was a change from all those bloody reality programmes about people buying their wedding dress, and learning to cook, and fighting with their neighbours and bitching about each other on deserted Islands and in jungles etc. There's so little to watch on TV nowadays that any kind of drama is welcome.

existentialmoment · 05/10/2017 14:35

I think you should have put this in the tv section.

WashingMatilda · 06/10/2017 05:07

Helpful existential Hmm

I thought it was crap and it's such a shame as I honestly think the first series was the best drama ON BBC for ages.

elfinpre · 06/10/2017 05:13

Amazing how many people watched the programme from start to finish, last series as well, but hate it. Have you nothing better to do than watch TV programmes you hate? I loved it.

ZaraW · 06/10/2017 05:26

I've never understood the love for Dr. Foster she was utterly vile and her husband was beyond awful.

HollyBollyBooBoo · 06/10/2017 05:31

It was an absolute pile to tosh, the whole 2nd series was. Definitely won't be watching the 3rd!

EssentialHummus · 06/10/2017 05:37

Another “could’ve ended last week” from me. Though I liked bits of it. Also, why is there only one sodding hotel in —Hertfordshire— Parminster? Gemma stayed there so Simon chose the same one?

HashtagTired · 06/10/2017 05:39

I enjoyed it. I agree it was a bit OTT in places too but thought it was entertaining. I would have been disappointed if she took whatshisface back after all that and glad that she didn’t.

I know I’m one of a few that enjoyed it though!!

BusyBeez99 · 06/10/2017 06:01

I thought it was brilliant and the ending was very well done

needtimewithwineandlesswhine · 07/10/2017 21:51

I could see what they were trying but hated the ending..dragged on and the thing with Simon gonna Inject himself was just fucking stupid and ott.
