to only shampoo my hair twice a week?

I have, since I can remember, always washed my hair every day or every other day with shampoo and conditioner (except while travelling or otherwise inconvenienced). However, this morning, when I came to wash my hair, I discovered that the shampoo had all been used up and not replaced from the handy toiletries drawer in the other room. Rather than get out of the shower to fetch it, I just skipped shampoo and only conditioned my hair.
I don't think my hair has ever felt nicer or been less frizzy in my entire life.
It doesn't feel dirty but I feel like it may niggle on me that I haven't washed my hair properly if I make this a regular thing. I was thinking of only shampooing twice a week, when I'm not at work, so that people will only see me when I have lovely soft not-a-complete-mess hair. Please tell me I'm not being unreasonable or gross, I'm imagining a perfect vision of the future where I'm not known as 'the one with the hair'. It'll be wonderful.

Definitely wash my hair every day...sometimes twice if I've had an exercise class. up at 530 to wash my hair wakes me up and I feel fresh to start the day

I have just started washing my daughter's hair with just conditioner. She has very curly hair and tends to get food in it every bloody day! We just use shampoo once a week after swimming. I wash my hair as little as possible but that's because I have completely ruined it with crazy colours! I just wear it back in a bun now Sad

I wash with shampoo and conditioner every second day, and rinse with water on the other days. I have curly hair which needs to be wet every day in order for me to do anything with it. I also live in Australia where just walking to the front gate to get my mail can bring me out in a sweat, so I find I need to clean my hair regularly. Also, I really like the feeling of the shower water in my head, a shower when I’m wearing a shower cap just doesn’t cut it for me. I say wash your hair how and when you want and if you leave a few days between washes you’ll soon work out if that’s going to work for you or not.

Apparently you shouldn't wash your hair more than 3 times a week as too much means you produce more oils etc. (Ie . Looks greaser tge more you wash). I was mine once a week and it always looks fine! X

Last used shampoo several years ago.

I wash mine twice a week but that's mainly laziness because it's very long and thick. I do always need dry shampoo by day 3 or it looks awful though.

I wash mine every morning. I have fine hair though and if I don’t wash it I look like a proper grease pot by lunchtime.

I’d need to train my hair to not need washing but it would have to be when I’m off work so I don’t have to go anywhere while my hair is getting used to not being washed.

Makes me feel gross thinking about it!

Once a week in more than enough for me, tbh could probably get away with another two days if I wanted, my hair never looks greasy and I don’t use heavy products on it to clog it up so it’s fresh much longer
