To ask for help with size 3 nappies

I know this isn't strictly an AIBU but am posting here for traffic.

Need some advice from those of you who have used a range of size 3 nappies.

My 12 week old has just moved up to size 3 nappies and I'm having a nightmare with leaks- nappies aren't lasting longer than 3 hours without soaking wet/through clothes. In size 1&2 we got on great with Tesco Loves Baby brand (we tried Aldi and Asda in 1&2 and found they leaked and weren't the right shape for him).

Now he's in size 3 I've tried both of the Tesco- Superfit (purple) and Ultradry (green). Both leak. The Superfit is particularly thin. Was recommended the Boots size 3 Superdry by a family member- got those this morning and they are almost identical to the Tesco Superfit- very thin and not very absorbent.

Have accepted I may have to bite the bullet and buy Pampers- but can't figure out which would be better, the Premium Protection, BabyDry or ActiveFit. What's the difference? The website isn't very clear!

Advice would be very much appreciated!

Mine only ever seemed to be in size 3s for about 5 minutes before having to go up to 4. I think there might be a big jump in size or absorbency or something.

My little boy leaked every nappy apart from pampers. Active or baby dry, both ok.
Was a nightmare!
Both my girls had no problem with any nappy going, even Tesco value.
However, we then tried Lidl. Bargain price too and we couldn't believe it!
So Lidl or pampers. He's 5 now and still not dry at night. He leaks bedtime Pant and everything but thank god for Lidl prices!

Pampers! Expensive but great!!! (Avoid huggies!)

It's worth looking at the website below to see where is the cheapest place to buy nappies (including Pampers ones) as it can vary depending on sales.

www.bumdeal.co.uk

kpo58 that website is brilliant- thanks for that!

I think premium protection are thicker than Baby Dry, I remember being surprised how flimsy the Baby Dry felt after I'd been using just the PP for a few months.

And yes, the rule with Pampers is never, ever buy their nappies unless they're on offer. And they're always on offer somewhere. Amazon Prime is good for ordering massive jumbo packs at a good price.

Think we'll start with the Premium Protection and go from there. The bumdeal website shows they're on at £4.00 for 50 at Asda and Sainsbury's at the moment which works out at 8p a nappy. The Tesco ones we've been using are £3.50 for a pack so the price difference per nappy is very minimal if we stick to finding the offers.
