Namechanged.

I am NEVER unwell. I'm 45, regular cycle, and last two weeks I'm out of breath a lot, absolutely knackered and taking naps every day, and v bloated lower abdomen. I'm wearing normally I think, but always feel so bloated. I've got indigestion if I eat too fast (again never a problem previously) and I've got constant lower back ache. And one elbow hurts too!

I'm not celiac, not anaemic, not b12 deficient (had recent blooods for something else) but something feels different.

If I see the doc they're likely to say "hormones, go away" aren't they?

Were they using a butterfly needle? They had to use a kids one on me as my veins were so small! Also, this is probably obvious, but windmilling your arms and clenching your fist just before will help the veins become more prominent.

Hope it goes ok today Flowers

Drink plenty in the hour or so before you go in, and keep your arms and hands nice and warm. Once the tourniquet is on some nice brisk clenching and in-clenching your hands helps fill them up nicely.

Had another 500mg drip plus two bags of saline as I helpfully passed out again. My blood pressure dropped and has come back up a bit but I felt crap all afternoon. They couldn't get a line in again, it swelled up and my arms are a mess, but it's ddone with. Been discharged back to my GP who will repeat bloods in a month.

I'm much improved thanks! The iron seems to be doing the trick and I have way more energy. It's incredibly liberating to not have to take a huge sleep every day!

Just an update! In order to cheer myself up a bit, I booked some Botox which I’ve had loads and loads of times. But, my blood must still be a bit busted as I’ve got a huge shiner!Blush Properly blackened. It’s not sore but looks terrible!

The go wrote to me with an apt for a pelvic ultrasound and they also want to do a colonoscopy AND endoscopy which seems a bit excessive. More bloods next week.

@worriedobsessive

I followed your post last year, just wondering how you are doing? Did the Drs get to the bottom of your problems?
I've a friend with similar symptoms who is being investigated at the moment. I'm trying to give her some reassurance as she googles non stop!
