To suspect that dd’s drink got spiked?

She went out to a well known London club which turns out to have a rep as being quite druggie.

She is quite a heavy drinker with a high tolerance. She drank 2 pints and 5 jaegarbombs. No more than she says that she can quite easily manage and drinks on a night out clubbing.

Predrinking she was fine and she arrived at the club around 12pm. She drank some jaegarbombs in the club with a friend who was fine.

By 1am she was being violently sick and immediately had to leave the club and be supported by others and got a taxi home. She was vomiting all the way home and it also seems that she crapped her pants.

She was sick all night and woke up in a bed full of her own vomit. Her friends had left her by that point to sleep themselves having been watching her all night.

She has absolutely no recollection of what happened last night after arriving to the nightclub.

She said she still felt drunk at midday and she is still occasionally vomiting and feeling ill.

What do you think? Was she spiked or did she drink too much?

Well if she thinks she was spiked she could have gone to A&E and had her bloods taken and tested. Suspect she was just over ambitious. Is this her first time away from home?

It depends on what drug was used if she was spiked. I think a sedative type of drug would not cause that reaction. It does sound like she drank too much. Many many years ago I had a couple of episodes similar to your description and it was just through excessive drinking and no food

Sounds like alcohol poisoning to me. She probably drunk more than she remembers or she had an empty tummy or both. I doubt she was spiked.

5 jaegar bombs in an hour is more likely to be the culprit, surely?

As a 19yo (so I'd assume closer in age to your DD than most of these posters) I can drink triple this and not be sick never mind the other stuff - if she actually 'crapped her pants' then yes I would think she had been spiked, especially since she doesn't remember much after arriving at that one place. Friend was fine too which indicates it was that specific drink regardless of tolerance.

A lot of factors can make a difference to alcohol tolerance on any given day. So what you an easily down in one session one day might not sit so well another day.

All that Red Bull alone is enough to make anyone ill.

But I'm sure it's much less humiliating for her to claim she only shat herself because she was spiked, rather than take responsibility for her drinking.

Could she be pregnant? My friend had A similar reaction after drinking one night which she put down to just an off night but it was still going a few days later and she turned out to be pregnant.

Thrre isnt a drug that anyone would go out of their way to spike someone with that would do that. What would be the point?

Lots of students bars I went to as a young'un would serve fairly watered down versions of jagerbombs etc for the purposes of being cheap. Except sometimes they wouldn't. And often, if the barman liked you, they'd give you an extra shot etc which maybe intended to be nice (?) but the overall effect was you could drink what appeared to be the same amount on different nights and actually have consumed very different quantities of alcohol so it might be something like that. Of course, it is also entirely possible her drink was spiked, it isn't exactly an unheard of occurrence and has happened to several people I know.

Everyone I know who's had their drink 'spiked', has either just not wanted to admit to/doesn't remember how much they actually drank, or had someone put more alcohol into their drink... and it's usually been one of their friends trying to be funny who's done the spiking.

A lot to consume in an hour. I wouldn't think she was drugged. I would say the amount of alcohol in a short space of time was to blame.

Sounds like drink, I had my drink spiked, I was talking nonsense and unable to really navigate, acting very very strange according to friends. They sat with me until I fell asleep, no sickness or anything else. Just absolutely no memory after my first drink of the night.

Another saying alcohol poisoning. You get a nice 3 day hangover with it.

Your DD's reaction does sound like too much caffeine (laxative effect!) and alcohol in a really small window.

Did she lose her purse/phone etc? That happens quite often when drinks are spiked (although also to be fair when people are raging drunk)

It's possible that she had some sort of stomach upset/food poisoning that came on suddenly and made her that ill.

It's almost certainly not going to be spiking with drugs as they are either intended to make you easy to rape, which precludes shitting and vomiting as that doesn't make rape pleasant or even possiblr. Or illegal drugs to make her more suggestible and lower inhibitions. These again, don't make you shit and vomit or people wouldn't take them for fun.

Or she just got way more shatfaced than she wants to admit. Probably that.

I'm reading this that at least some of the drinks the OP mentioned were had before going out, so eg. A pint and 3 jaegerbombs. And then the rest between midnight and 1am. Not that she drank all that in the space of an hour.

The red bull in the Jagerbombs would make me ill not the alcohol! Personally I would suspect she's drunk a hell of a lot more than that.

5 jagerbombs doesn't equal 5 cans of Red Bull, probably only one. I could easily have drank that in an hour ten years ago and been fine, but still think it's quite unlikely to be spiked. Sometimes it does just affect you differently, I did throw up on my best friend in bed once.

All symptoms of alcohol toxicity. She had a blackout. She has a major drink problem.

Thelonelyhamster, With the people I know I feel certain at least two of the cases were definately drink spiking rather than just over consumption of alcohol but, yes, they did result in utter confusion, no memory whatsoever and being pretty much paralyzed the day after, so more than just vomiting...
