www.vetuk.co.uk/flea-products-flea-treatments-household-flea-sprays-c-3_419/indorex-flea-spray-500ml-can-p-677

This stuff for the carpets. Boil wash bedding blankets ( yours and the dogs). Ask the vet about something stronger for the dog.

Also, do you work anywhere with carpets? I had this once and it was the carpets at work yuk.

You might be getting bitten more if you are in the house more than others. I lived in a house with a cat flea infestation once. The stupid owners refused to use 'harsh chemicals' on them... when you came down the stairs in the morning, and stood in the living room, they would come straightaway and jump onto your legs/feet. Wear some white socks and go and stand in each room and wait, that's if you have carpets or rugs.
They can detect heat and movement... we bought loads of cans of flea spray and sprayed the place continously. Can't remember if it worked or if I moved out, sorry!

I posted on your last thread

I had exactly the same. It will just get worse.

You need to get a prescription. It was for scabies I remember saying on the packet. Cleared up very very quickly.

Also get a big bar of soap, remove your sheets and when you see them jump, whack the soap on top. They get stuck in it. Very effective.

Its all very well buying stuff to reduce the irritation caused by bites but have you treated the house to get rid of them yet?

When its dark light a large candle, place in a bowl of water with a good squirt of washing up liquid, place the candle on an upturned mug or something that will raise the candle out of the water, and place on the floor of a room you know is infested. Fleas (and other biting things) will be attracted to the light, jump towards it and land in the water. The wash up liquid will weigh them down so they can't get back out. Check after a couple of hours. You will be able to identify the critters and treat your home accordingly. Good Luck!
