I'm due to have my 5th c section tomorrow morning and the fear and anxiety has well and truly hit!

Has anyone got any words of wisdom to help me calm down?

Milliepede, that was brilliant!!! Grin Grin Grin

I only had one section but I had had three deep tissue surgeries before and had to have another deep tissue surgery into the C-section scar where the tissue apparently started tearing again so as the consultant performing the ultrasound cheerfully informed me, no surgeon will ever want to touch me again unless I'm dying because they want to fix people and I can't be fixed anymore so I get you, I'd be shitting myself too.
On a more cheerful note, you'll be fine. You know the drill and mainly, you will have your beautiful little baby so no worries there. And get the bikini wax Smile.

Love the "you can't have more than x sections" myth - if it's not wise to labour after 2, how the heck do people think it suddenly becomes safe after 5.
Hope you have another nice "last meal" tonight and can manage the anxiety until baby is here tomorrow. Totally natural and ok, maybe just accept, this is how I feel today, tomorrow might be different. No shame in our feelings though we often think so.

Thanks everyone for the kind words! Tomorrow is definitely the big day, I've just got home from the hospital pre op all done and had a long chat with the anaesthetists and surgeon. They were very confident and well prepared so everything is as ready as can be! Just trying to focus on the end result and cuddling my new lovely little girl Grin

Also, they said they can put some anxiety meds in my drip if I'm too nervous in the morning so that made me feel better!

To update; my little girl was born safely this morning Grin c section went brilliantly and was probably the most positive experience I've ever had with any of them! Surgeons and anaesthetists were absolutely fantastic and I am still feeling great, no pain still although I know that is coming!

Thanks for everyone's support!
