Any recommendations on what to get?

All kinds of shite you didn't know you needed I love home bargains we have them all near me home bargains ,B&M, pound land/world pound stretcher/shrinker I love them all.

x2boys · 23/09/2017 08:36

We have a massive B&M sparkling which includes a gardening outside section.

Wait4nothing · 23/09/2017 08:38

Loo roll and dishwasher tablets

There are sometimes good offers on toys and birthday cards start from 29p (ideal for children's parties)

user1471443504 · 23/09/2017 08:38

Whizz antibacterial laundry cleanser which is 99p compared to dettol's £2.99.
Potato peeler for 49p! I've got a stash of these as I keep accidently chucking them with the peelings.
Bulmers pear cider £1 a bottle
Toys, they had darth Vader pop up pirate the other day for £3.99, it was online in other shops for £9.99

I love home bargains there are a few new, really big ones by me.

Sparklingbrook · 23/09/2017 08:39

Our B&M is a huge windowless place like a big warehouse. it might be me but it's one of those places you don't want to hang about in.

I much prefer Home Bargains.

We also have a JTF Warehouse which is a very strange place and about as no frills as you can get.

Impatientwino · 23/09/2017 08:41

Kitchen Roll
Fabric conditioner
Toiletries
Kleenex

Also their part baked rolls or baguettes are 39p a pack and are great for when you're feeding crowds and they are well dated so good cupboard standby

Impatientwino · 23/09/2017 08:41

Oh and cards for 29p!

ILoveMillhousesDad · 23/09/2017 08:41

I find B&M a bit depressing.

Noooooo. It's THE best!!

They have their own soundtracks playing and everything.

We have a massive one by ours and it's bright and airy. Has an upstairs and a garden centre.

I go there at least twice a week.

Some of the smaller ones are a bit dull and dingy

CheshireSplat · 23/09/2017 08:42

Temporary where's the new Trago going to be????

Sparklingbrook · 23/09/2017 08:43

I never quite know what to make of The Range, another one for mooching around. Good for a mooch but a bit overwhelming and not that cheap.

passmethewineplease · 23/09/2017 08:43

Gingerbread Wickford & Co candle. £2.99, you can smell it all over the house.

Toiletries

If they have a fridge section they do extra lean mince and other things much cheaper than supermarkets.

Basically everything. Grin

riskmatrix · 23/09/2017 08:44

I think the new Trago Mills will be in Merthyr Tydfil? I'm about 20 miles away, can't wait until it opens!

passmethewineplease · 23/09/2017 08:44

Definitely agree about smaller B&Ms our small one feels horrible.

The big one outside of town is great though. Has it's garden centre outside. I love it. Blush

NapQueen · 23/09/2017 08:45

pass dh and i have made a pact not to buy any more candles until we use the ones we have. But for 2.99 I could be swayed as we usually get Woodwick.

JamOrCreamFirst · 23/09/2017 08:45

Their own brand washing powder in a box. Green bio and blue non bio. Tried them when DH suddenly became allergic to Persil and they are just as good and so cheap. All cleaning products and toiletries. Stuff for DC's snack barrel.

metalmum15 · 23/09/2017 08:47

Yes I like the Range too although definitely not always cheap. Good for knick knacks like candles etc and some cleaning stuff is cheap. Ours has a huge stationery and craft section which is good for kids when they need stuff for school. Kitchen stuff can be quite pricey though.

Temporaryanonymity · 23/09/2017 08:48

Yes - Merthyr. Opposite the retail park on the roundabout.

EdmundCleverClogs · 23/09/2017 08:48

They're selling Terry's Chocolate Orange Toffee Segments in my new(ish) one. Can't find them before December usually!

Also, Mayflower Chinese curry sauce, £1 for a box. Amazing, cheap and as good better than the takeaway version.

Temporaryanonymity · 23/09/2017 08:49

Handily just off the Heads of the Valley road. Genius location.

YouTheCat · 23/09/2017 08:49

Are you in the North East? We have one opening down the road today.

NapQueen · 23/09/2017 08:53

YouTheCat near "The Wall"?

OP posts:
riskmatrix · 23/09/2017 08:54

temporary I've not been up that way for a while - is it near the Kier Hardie Health Building? I seem to remember a retail park near there?

YouTheCat · 23/09/2017 08:54

Yep Grin
