So frustrated with Hotmail

Was wondering earlier why my Hotmail emails weren't sending, and apparently it's being reported that Hotmail's down for loads of users and they don't know when the problem will be sorted.

AIBU to be really frustrated?

Will we get emails when its fixed if people have sent them today?

Office 365 was down today so guess msoft had a massive problem

The thing is peach that Gmail is not easier to use for me. That is just your opinion. I hate the way it looks, hate the 'Compose' button. Hate the placement of the 'Send' button. Hate the entire look, layout and feel of it.

I am sticking with my hundred year old hotmail account until it dies!

So that would be the reason as to why I don't have email confirmation of my m&s order. Or any other stuff I normally get.

I registered my account when living in Germany in the very early noughties. I'm also with hotmail til it dies. I like receiving the odd random mail in German even though I now live back in the uk.

aH, that explains why my e-mails are languishing unsent in a draft folder with no option to do anything with them.

Oh I thought it was just me. Not had anything since 9.13am. I was about to get angry with my son's school as I hadn't received an e-mail other parents did and thought they'd missed me off the list (again).

My Gmail is down. It won't sync on ipad or my phone. Is it just Hotmail?

I've had the same email address for 17 years, and everything I've signed up for in that time is linked to that address. I'm "til death do us part" with hotmail too.

Today has been really annoying (nothing since 9.30) but it's the first time it's happened in 17 years.

Never had an issue before either. And Hotmail is Outlook now so not really outdated

I've never had an issue with it before. It's really frustrating - I'm behind on loads of work because of it.

That explains why I keep getting the same email timestamped 9.20.

Annoying, I had been trying to sign my son up for a club and it's probably full now.

In all seriousness, and not being snarky, because Hotmail is unreliable with an out of date interface. Gmail never goes down and is much easier to use.

Yeah, this. It was the reason I switched to gmail. I found hotmail unusable so I am genuinely surprised when I see people still using it.

Same here - last email was 9.30!! Wish I'd checked here first, instead of setting up with new password etc

But there has been plenty of occasions when GMail has gone down. This is the first time since the early 90s I haven't been able to access Hotmail all day.

I did think my emails had been quiet today, now I know why!

I tried gmail and went back to hot mail. Hated the interface too

I've had my Hotmail since 2001, very reliable usually - this is damn frustrating, YANBU.

I have a terrible memory too, I'll forget what I really need to send by tomorrow, think I've sent it anyway, get caught out when people ask why I didn't do this task, that thing, etc. sigh

Yup. V pissed off, I'm freelance and lost out on a booking because it crashed. Hotmail owes me a days wages!

Hotmail used to be great. Then they messed about with it and merged it with Outlook. It's been rubbish since- glitchy and slow. Although not usually quite as bad as today!

Ahhh that explains why all my sent emails today are currently still being held in drafts and I've not had any emails today either! Gah!
