I made a peanut butter sandwich and put a layer of normal dairy butter on first, as I always do, but then it got me thinking as to whether this is the done thing! Shock

Am I bu and breaking some kind of rule for having both butter and peanut butter?!

YABU. Unless you have arachibutyrophobia which is a fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof of your mouth! Smile

Noooooooo!! This is wrong on so many levels 😬

I love butter and pb together...........YUMMY!

I need the butter otherwise it gets stuck in my throat!
Has anyone tried a peanut butter and Nutella sandwich? That's a taste sensation right there! Not diet friendly though...

I personally wouldn't put butter on first but my DH would it's personal choice, it's taste and I take the piss, it's like do you have sauce in a dip style or be like my DH and splash it all over your food, what some see as wrong is another persons preference x

@2ducks2ducklings yup it's really nice and add a banana it's even better.

Op I butter everything. I can't eat toast with anything on without butter. My dp hates butter and made me honey on toast when I was breastfeeding my newborn. I cried a couple of dollops of honey on slices of toast not even spread out. Yes I even butter toast and then put honey on it.

I can't believe no-one's suggested peanut butter and golden syrup! It's sooooooo good.

For the absolute perfect sandwich you toast one side of two pieces of bread (you'll need a grill not a toaster) which is enough to slightly melt the pb and syrup but doesn't make the sandwich too dry and crunchy.

It's just like peanut brittle. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
