threw DPs clothes away

DP has a habit of leaving his dirty clothes all over my bedroom floor until he goes home (back to his own pig-sty), I put up with it for a while since they were only there a maximum of 2 days but after a while I got irritated by the disrespect it showed and started to throw away any underclothes I found on the floor and purposely spill stuff on jeans and t-shirts that were on the floor. He's starting to notice that his underwear is going down in numbers rapidly, now I'm starting to doubt I was in the right to chuck it all so darnt admit it until I know I was in the right!

what do you think?

troll

FrannyandZooey · 04/04/2007 18:23

I don't think it's ok to throw away / damage someone's stuff because they have annoyed you.

Are you expecting to get many people telling you that it is?

TrinityRhino · 04/04/2007 18:24
Hmm
colditz · 04/04/2007 18:25

I think that if he can't look after his stuff he has no right to moan when it gets damaged

What a strange thing to do to someone you presumably care about. Spilling stuff on his jeans and throwing things away is a bit childish, don't you think?

margo1974 · 04/04/2007 18:28

I have fantasies of doing this and then dh becoming an enlightened man........

RedLorryYellowLorry · 04/04/2007 18:28

I think you should bin him.

talcyegg · 04/04/2007 18:29

I would have bagged it up and returned it.
Ask him nicely to respect your space.....i wouldn't bin it.

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 04/04/2007 18:48

This isn't for real

talcyegg · 04/04/2007 18:54

?

zippitippitoes · 04/04/2007 18:56

Pann · 04/04/2007 19:11

If this is true, you need help.

If this is untrue, you need help.

HEY!

I know for a fact that a lot of threadsa have been started on this site with the title "My husband leaves his clothes all over the floor, I'm sick of being a skivvy" etcetc

and the general consensus was "How dare he, bin them, teach him a lesson"

So just because it's someone's first post, and maybe they are trolling (and I frankly don't care if they are) suddenly it's ok for her partner to leave his clothes all over the floor, and she shouldn't attempt to dissuade him?

mytwopenceworth · 04/04/2007 19:45

if you've told him it's not on and warned him they will go in the bin and he's still done it, then he got what he deserved.

although the issue is do you want to carry on seeing someone who you feel treats your space with no consideration.

however, a lot of men are messy buggers. what's his place like?

Pann · 04/04/2007 19:46

maybe over time, posters responses have...matured.

powder28 · 04/04/2007 19:47

Why doesnt he live with you?

zippitippitoes · 04/04/2007 19:48

it doesn't seem that much of a crime to me..we would all soon be naked in the house if that policy was followed

i would just tell him when he takes them off don't leave them there please it gets on my nerves

powder28 · 04/04/2007 19:50

I would just wash them and spray them with your girliest perfume. He wont want to go out stinking of WOMAN so he might start taking them home.

rachfran · 04/04/2007 19:52

I once hid my DH work trousers and shoes after repeatedly asking him to put them away. He had to ring me in work to find out where they where. It stopped him from leaving his clothes out - for about a month!

fireflyfairy2 · 04/04/2007 19:54

Have you mentioned it to him?

custy · 04/04/2007 19:56

i think i would have left it in a black bag for him to take.

then after that i might bin it.

depends on how good the sex is really

Quootiepie · 04/04/2007 19:57

If it's true, I don't think it's that unreasonable If you have told him, then unless he pays you to be his maid, i'd bin them. (well, I wouldn't because I am a wimp, but, I'd advise someone else too ) As someone said, if someone came on saying "oh, my DP leaves his crusty undies all over my floor" etc. etc, people would in droves telling them to bin them.
