To expect to be able to go all inclusive and have 3 bedrooms?

Three dc and dp, eldest dc is 17, have been going self catering for years as need three bedrooms on holiday for the 5 of us,

Would really like to go half board or all Inclusive but can't find anything that fits the bill?

Don't want to be spread across hotel rooms with no space.

AIBU to think that there must be a villa complex somewhere in Europe that has an all inclusive buffet style access and fits the bill?

Recommendations if you have any too!

We did a Thomson AI in Portugal (Salgados Palm Village) this summer OP. We have 3 DC, 13, 7 and 4.

Had a 3 bed apartment (actually two bedrooms plus lounge with sofabed, but 13yo was fine with the sofabed) each with ensuite shower room, plus massive balcony. Proper entrance hall and loads of storage for stuff too.

Can't link as on phone but if you search Salgados Palm Village on the Thomson website it should come up. Not cheap, but location, pools and food were good. Only criticism we had was that the bar area wasn't that great (bit scruffy, small and boiling hot!) and the entertainment seemed dire. Didn't bother us as we don't sit in the bar with DC on holiday anyway. We just brought drinks back to our room and chilled out playing cards on the balcony (dcs' favourite thing!) in the evenings. But something to be aware of if you like to socialise in the bar in the evening.

Rooms were fab though and brilliant if you want to give an older DC their own space.

We've done Salgados three times, fabulous! Didn't really see my kids, they were too busy with the kids club

Have a look at aqua natura polynesian lodge resort in benidorm.

DON'T be put off by the fact it's Benidorm, they have 3 bedroom lodges based on a waterpark with a zoo attatched.It's also a fairly, new resort so pretty shiny still. My friend got a 3 bedroomed lodge with a hot tub for £600 pp AI. They had an amazing time, they even put on an extra staff member in the waterpark as she has disabled dc. This meant they could all access the slides. Fab place.

Trying to get three proper bedroom as oldest is 17ds and next are two dd's 10 and 14 and he needs his own space now rather than a sofa bed in the lounge with no privacy.

Wow, thanks for that, so anyone asking about cars, see a dealer, anyone with relationship or sex questions, see a doctor or therapist, financial questions, see an IFA.

I'm very interested in this thread myself @themueslicamel thanks for posting! The difference between a travel agent selling you something and a group of mum's personal recommendations and experiences is quite vast I'd say. Hmm

We went to Gloria Golf Resort in Antalya, Turkey a few years ago. We had a fab three bed villa and it was totally all-inclusive. All restaurants, drinks, room service etc. Loved it!

We stayed a villa in Colina village, carvoeiro, Portugal.

Half board, we paid for a 2 bed villa with a sofa bed, (but we're allocated a 3 bed with sofa bed when got there, so they do have them)

OP in the Salgados place the lounge was essentially another bedroom, with its own en suite, so eldest DS had plenty of space and the apartment layout meant that our younger two didn't even need to go into the room. It's definitely worth a look. Each of the three rooms opens from the hallway in exactly the same way, with doors to close for privacy, and each has French door individual access to the balcony too so no need for anyone else to go into the lounge at all.

You don't really need a lounge on that sort of holiday (well we didn't anyway) as you can use the balcony for sitting and chillling out if you want to so it's fine.

I am sure there are places that offer proper three bed villas as part of a hotel complex (so 3 bedrooms plus a lounge) but they will probably be £££...

Thanks for the recommendations so far, we have been to the Algarve for the last four years so the Spanish one looks good on the website.

Looks like this is of interest to lots of people with more than 2 dc's who want to escape the never ending drudgery of the kitchen! Grin

We were in a similar position a couple of years ago but we only wanted a 2 bed apartment and I struggled to find anything suitable online so we went in to our local travel agent and they were really helpful. We went to Playa Blanca Lanzarote in the Holiday Village Flamingo. (First Choice or Thomson). They do have some 3 bed apartments as well.

Mestral & lleibig in menorca have 3 bed apartments- it's in the first choice all inclusive brochure / website.

Place marking because travel agents are shit. I've asked for AI apartments in the past and been told they aren't really a thing, I also tried to book a week in New York only to be told by three separate travel agents nobody goes to New York for a week Confused

I just can see why a Mediterranean resort with center parcs style lodges and an all inclusive buffet doesn't seem to exist?!?!Angry

In fairness to Travel Agents, they aren't shit. The fact is that there aren't many complexes around that do exactly what the OP wants. I however second the Eden Resort (they have three (proper) bedroom townhouses). It's a bit remote though so a car is useful unless you really have no plans to go out without using taxis etc.

We went to NYC for a week. But self packaged so got flight through Norewgian (never again!!) and booked 7 nights at the Hilton Garden Inn West 35th Street which was fab. The majority of customers book an average of 4 nights in NYC hence most packages (through an agent) will be that duration because that's what the demand has been for. If 7 night NYC packages were sold, it's likely many people would say 'we don't want that long'.

Try the Gaia Village in Kos, they do 3 bedrooms. It's 3 star but the food is great, near the beach, nice pool & gardens.
