Political correctness gone mad - parents under fire from withdrawing their child from school after male class mate wears a dress.

Ok so just catching up with my mail online news before bed. I've seen a Christian couple have withdrawn their son from school due to his male, 6 year old class mate wearing a dress to school.
They where on This Morning and have come under fire from viewers and the presenters for their decision to remove their son from the school as they don't agree with a boy wearing a dress.
I will just say I would find it a little odd but wouldn't withdraw my child from school.
I can't help but feel that if another race/religion did the same thing they wouldn't come under fire. It's as if white British folk are trying to be so politically correct we no longer can see what is ok and what isn't incase we offend some one.
I feel political correctness has gone mad 😖
I'm now going to sit and wait for Mums net abuse to roll in.

While I despise all religions, I have a particular lack of patience for anyone whining that Christians are the most persecuted group in the UK, particularly at present. Christians might get laughed at and challenged for their bigotry but there are not, at present, people daubing obscenities and racist threats on Christian places of worship, nor are people being spat at, abused or assaulted in the street for wearing Christian symbols.

Again you have missed the point of most of the posters on here.

Nobody is saying a boy cant wear a dress IF THEY WANT TO.
Nobody is saying boys have to like steryotypical boy toys or girls should either. If you cared to read past your blinkered views you would see that.

What we are saying and nobody can disput is that A BOY WEARING A DRESS IS NOT A GIRL who can magically change back to a boy if he wears trousers. And telling him that, forcing schools to bully other kids and teachers into agreeing with this is not acceptable.

That poor kid is going to have more issues in life than he would have if the parents had just let nature take its course and let him find his own path in life as he grows up, not their 'we are such cool parents we dont believe in biological sexes' so we will tell our child he has magic powers to get round them.

Can you point out who is advocating steriliisation for kids?

The process of transitioning will have serious impact on the childs reproductive organs, then its too late to do anything about it if it was just a phase the child went through.

hackmum · 12/09/2017 14:29

Exactly, Heathen. Children go through phrases. A friend's daughter went through a whole year claiming to be a cat and only saying "miaow" whenever anyone asked her anything. It used to drive people nuts ("Would you like to stay for tea, Susie?" "Miaow") but friend took it in her stride, luckily.

Just caught up on this morning on catch up

Dear this morning please read this thread and start giving a balanced view on the debate rather than trying to be 'right on' and demonise those who question the wisdom of encouraging children to make life changing choices so very young. Kids can suffer if they are forced to be a stereotype boy/girl. But they can suffer a hell of a lot more with permanent physical harm as well as mental if encouraged down a path too early and allowed to make changes that become irreversible after a point has been passed. Attack the gender stereotypes not the physical differences between sex. Give a fucking reasoned debate you patronising ....!!!! That six year old boy was most certainly me at 6!! And all that attention and encouragement- wow Is have drunk it all up and come my 20's be a total fucking mess as that's when I fully realised that I really did morning want a male body and I did indeed identify as female. God I feel for kids today.

Interesting article here about how anyone growing up in Iran showing any gay tendencies are pushed to have gender surgery.

I wonder if this is why the Tories have so got on board with the trans agenda. Stamp out homosexuality and stop them from breeding in one easy step?

Ipsie · 12/09/2017 14:33

Bloody auto correct - you're all smart. You can work it out lol!

streetface · 12/09/2017 14:36

Ipsie I did. Had to read the line twice but got it Grin

blueberrypie0112 · 12/09/2017 14:39

Try convincing your little girl she is a boy. She will argue that she is not a boy. Sound abusive to keep it up until she is blue in her face, right? I think it can be just as abusive if you do the same to trans boy or girl

Ipsie · 12/09/2017 14:41

This morning - you have had many trans gender kids on. How about kids who went through the process and then regretted it? They're out there. Do what journalists should do even if you are just an entertainment show, and give BOTH sides of the debate. You are doing way more harm with the approach you are currently taking.

Ok I'm out now. I just find it so scary thinking how my life could have been so badly damaged.

Thanks mum for letting me have short hair, wear boys clothes, not bat an eye at me pretending to be a boy and calling myself Bill, being calm when i said I wanted a willy and for insisting that I did wear dresses on certain occasions always ensuring girls clothe were part of my wardrobe knowing I wouldn't wear them, calling me by my name referring to me as a girl accepting my insistence I wanted a willy but telling me I may well one day change my mind and that would be ok - that was the right approach.

For the last time - thank fuck I'm not a kid today!

Ipsie · 12/09/2017 14:42

Lol street! I swear my phone changes things after I post! Gremlins are everywhere! Grin

Maybe some parenting classes would help you? Most people would change the subject and get on with life, rather than fight with their child.
Why would you keep fighting with a child about anything?Confused

Lemonjello · 12/09/2017 14:44

willow
I totally agree with you Confused

MistressDeeCee · 12/09/2017 14:45

Turns out the boys's male classmate did not just wear a dress, but the boy was asked to use female pronouns and pretend that this boy in a dress is a girl

I wouldnt want my children in a school that supports this nonsense either. Attention seeking idiot parents are being allowed to cause too much confusion in their thirst for 15 minutes of 'look at us we are sooo different' fame

Let children be children fgs

I wonder how the child at the centre of all this feels? Its not really about him though is it

& I don't see what 'white British' has to do with anything

blueberrypie0112 · 12/09/2017 14:47

The article about gender reassignment surgery : maybe they shouldn't using the trap in a man's body if they are against having the surgery

Pensionista · 12/09/2017 14:48

Thank God I don't have to bring up kids today. It's all so freakin confusing for the parents who are trying to do the best for their kids, as well as the kids themselves.

blueberrypie0112 · 12/09/2017 14:49

Of course they will change the subject, but the pressure to get their kids to act and dress like boys if they feel differently because of the school, I don't know

Kikibanana86 · 12/09/2017 14:50

I think it's more a kit the child wanting to be addressed as a girl and thee parents child not wanting to, I can see their point, if boys wanna wear dresses let theme but why can they still be boys?

Kikibanana86 · 12/09/2017 14:51

*cant

Foxtrot92 · 12/09/2017 14:51

I agree with the couple on the sofa with their point that a child of 6 years is far too young to decide what they want to be.

Transgender is the new buzz word and it is in 'fashion' these days to be gender neutral or to have a transgender child. 'Oh look at me letting my boy wear a dress and call him Ella, aren't I so accepting and a fantastic parent'. Well no.

Children that age don't know what they really want, they like to experiment etc but as soon as a boy shows an interest in anything 'girly' ie dresses or dolls they're parents jump on the 'my child must be transgender' bandwagon.

No your child is a child and doesn't actually know what they want yet. Don't fucking confuse for the child and jump on the bandwagon!

StatisticallyChallenged · 12/09/2017 14:52

Blueberrypie how do you define a trans boy or girl? It has no objective definition, that's the point most posters are making. Male or female is biology, everything else is cultural expectations and stereotypes. These children who are supposedly trans in the vast majority of cases are simply gender non confirming in some way.

Ipsie · 12/09/2017 14:53

Thanks mistress.

derxa · 12/09/2017 14:57

The Christian parents are an irrelevance. I feel for that little 6 year old.

Nobody is actually doing that.

Everyone is saying that telling a 6 year old that putting on a dress means that they have changed into a girl and putting on trousers means they have changed back into a boy is BS and NOT in the childs interests at all.

The parents are idiots, that poor kid.
