Message on what's app for - leavers group 2018. Add or report as spam. .
Thinking it was to do with dd and leaving 2017 with a misprint. . Maybe a thank you to all who organised it etc (not me but did cough up the £30 demanded-through my car window as pulled up at after school club pick up - for pizza hut +jump 360+multi named jumper - might add what's app group began in March but naff all actually booked til 2 days before the agreed date!! Wtaf!!)
But no......
It's to start the planning for next years leavers which will include my other dd!!
No way am I even thinking about the mugs /tops /hats /trips suggestions already landing in my whats app box!! Obviously removing myself from the group is the easy answer but have they got nowt else they can be doing for the next 10 bloody months???!!!!
Considering nowt actually for booked til the week they left school it's a total waste of time anyway!!
Rant over.
Still smarting from the £££££ spent on school uniforms to think about parting with any more anywhere near the school gate!!

I don't use whatsapp so I don't know the options but surely you could just hide the group for the time being?

I wouldn't waste too much time worrying about it tbh.

MargotLovedTom1 · 09/09/2017 16:53

How rude of pp. It's clear enough what is meant.

Just ignore it all until the last fortnight, then see what's been decided Wink.

hairymaryquitecontrary · 09/09/2017 16:54

How rude of pp. It's clear enough what is meant

actually its very rude of you to insist it is clear to people who say it isn't,

LanaDReye · 09/09/2017 17:00

Where is the OP ?

AllToadsLeadToHome · 09/09/2017 17:02

Que?

MargotLovedTom1 · 09/09/2017 17:03

"You OK hun?....can just about decipher it."
"Errr....English?"
"Haven't a fuck what you're on about..."
"Christ, why can no one write properly any more?"
"Can someone translate for me?"
"Eh? What are you on about?"
"We need that again in English Grin."
"You write really weirdly."

All rude hairymary.

Piratesandpants · 09/09/2017 17:03

The bit I got (I think) is that she had to buy uniforms for her kids Shock Imagi ecthst. Having to clothe your kids.... the rest of it, something about WhatsApp? Confused

SoupDragon · 09/09/2017 17:07

Bully for you, have a gold star.

Juzt because you don't understand it doesn't mean it is "not understandable at all"

Clearly it is understandable given several people have explained what it means.

Andylion · 09/09/2017 17:09

How many "don't have a clue what you're on about" posts do there have to be?

The OP was having a rant, (she even says so in her post). Rants are rarely carefully written prose.

Shumpalumpa · 09/09/2017 17:12

I'd say some have interpreted it, rather than explained it.

MargotLovedTom1 · 09/09/2017 17:15

Pirates a lot of uniform is really expensive for what it is; OP is not the only one nursing a bruised bank balance at the moment. As for the rest of it, other posters who could understand it no problem have explained. You could probably have read one of the explanations in the time it took to type your helpful message.

MargotLovedTom1 · 09/09/2017 17:17

Given it's not written in a foreign language, where do interpreters come in?

Tartyflette · 09/09/2017 17:19

Jesus -- just how many leavers' events are the norm these Days?
AFAICR DS just came home soaking wet and with his uniform shirt trashed following a one-hour party in the school hall and playground on the last day of term. He had a great time.

twattymctwatterson · 09/09/2017 20:49

Really struggling to see where all of the "I don't understand the OP/English please" bollocks is coming from. This is FAR from the most indecipherable OP I've seen on here and those seem to receive far less stick.

C0untDucku1a · 09/09/2017 20:53

Just mute the group.

hairymaryquitecontrary · 09/09/2017 20:54

Why not assume they actually don't understand a word? I don't know what leavers refers to, or jump 360, or name jumper or any of the rest of it. And who is she complaining about? School ,parents, some official or unofficial group? What is the actual aibu?

twattymctwatterson · 10/09/2017 09:34

Hairy you're on a parenting site and you don't know what the term "leavers" refers to? Even if you didn't, you can't surmise from the rest of the op? The multi name jumper thing has been explained on the thread? Op has just come for a rant and loads of people have jumped on an opportunity to be as snide as possible.

redsquirrel2 · 10/09/2017 09:44

PPs how can you not understand it? It's perfectly clear! No need to be rude to OP.

OP I have just been through this myself, we started it at Easter. Why not post a polite message suggesting that it's a bit early to be thinking about it, and why not revisit it in maybe March next year? Tell them you're feeling very emotional about it being the last year and you don't want to think about it too much yet if you need to!

DonutCone · 10/09/2017 10:03

You know not everyone gets the benefit of 13 years of education in basic English, so we shouldn't judge when some people struggle to write fluently.

hairymaryquitecontrary · 10/09/2017 11:14

Hairy you're on a parenting site and you don't know what the term "leavers" refers to?

We're not all in the UK you know Hmm

M00nUnit · 10/09/2017 11:31

Wow people are rude! I understood the OP perfectly (apart from the multi-named jumper bit but I've got it now) and don't even have kids or have anything to do with schools. It wasn't particularly well-written but there's no need to mock the OP just because grammar isn't her strong suit.
For what it's worth I don't think the OP is being unreasonable to not want to think about 2018 school leavers' events when it's still such a long way off, but she's probably not reading this now as the unhelpful and nasty responses are quite likely to have scared her off. Well done.

RhiWrites · 10/09/2017 11:50

I understood it fine.

Maybe they're starting so early this time because they made a muck of it last time?

redsquirrel2 · 10/09/2017 21:02

Hairy is the UK the only country where children leave schools then?
