To ask how you pronounce 'secretary'

Is it secre-terry or sec-ret-tree?

FIL pronounces it sekky-terry. He thinks I must be one as I work in an office.

And I must ask- how do people pronounce insert (as in putting coins in a machine)??

I've always said in-zert, but DH insists it's in-sserrt.

etc etc. It seems to have suddenly escalated from nowhere. WHY?

Shed-ule. I thought Sked-ule was American.

Shedyool is correct - Skedyool is American (As Fuzzy says)
And the mispronunciation of words like Conshoomers and Schtoodents makes my hair stand on end. Whatshisname from one of the Conshoomer programmes does it. Little chap. Give me a minute, I'll think of his name. Dom somebody-or-other
