To tell want to tell a load of strangers...

About the fact I swam the English Channel as part of a relay yesterday!! Lifetime goal, which my Dad (who died in 2008) always encouraged me to do. And I did it!

What an amazing achievement! Thank you for sharing this with us. I assumed you would be in a wetsuit but just a costume really is hardcore. How long did it take in total?

Congratulations! A friend of mine swam the Channel last year, and the amount of training she had to put in was huge, not to mention the length of the swim, the tides, the ships, the jellyfish. Really well done, am most impressed! (She said she was only allowed to stay on French soil for 10 minutes, before being whisked back to Blighty in the boat!)

Wow that's a tremendous achievement well done! Just seeing those pictures brings home how far out you were.

I totally couldn't do it as I hate the thought of deep water beneath me
