To tell want to tell a load of strangers...

About the fact I swam the English Channel as part of a relay yesterday!! Lifetime goal, which my Dad (who died in 2008) always encouraged me to do. And I did it!

Congratulations! Thanks I wonder if this might inspire my swimmer Dd! She's not fast either in competition but, has stamina!

Oh and I totally disagree re the jellyfish stings! I got 16 over my hands, arms and legs some years ago in the space of a few (maybe 30) seconds and they felt very much like when you burn yourself on the oven shelf. Nasty!

Well done! I'm a keen swimmer & swim in the sea from end of June through till September and there is no way I could stay in for 2 hours.

Amazing feat. Do let us know if you do go for the solo attempt.

Friend of mine did a relay channel swim a few years ago. She's single with no dc, and even then fitting the training in was tough. To do it with a family .., wow.... you're one hardcore lady... respect!!!

I'm sure your dad would be immensely proud of you.
