I don't know why but lately ill actually get annoyed if I see someone coming near me on the bus if I think they're going to try speak to me. like general nonsense.. similar in work seeing my boss everyday in passing and when she comes in doing the "hello how are you" and a constant repeat conversation .

am I being unreasonable to say / think not everybody wants to just randomly chat? mainly on buses. just leave me the fk alone Grin I must be miserable. or just straight to the point..

supermoon people who are introverted aren't unfriendly or Scrooge-like, they genuinely hate talking to strangers and find it really difficult. I'm one of them. They would like to go about their day as quickly and comfortably as possible; strangers talking to them complicates this.
Good for you that you like talking to total strangers. Lots of people don't. Society is already geared to extroverts so you judging us just makes us feel worse.

Thanks everyone. forgot about the thread. glad there's lots that agree! For me it's mainly that I never wanna bump into or talk to anybody on the bus. I love talking to customers etc and have no problem. I also don't like and feel very uncomfortable making small talk with my boss that I don't work with often. and it's only the 2 of us so makes it soo worse.

I hate it too, I hate even more when I'm wearing headphones and they still try it. It was a few years ago when I was younger but a woman actually pulled one out of my ear. I just remember slowly turning my head to look at her and staring right at her, amazed at her audacity, then putting it back in my ear and ignoring her.

Wow titanz how bloody rude of them!! I've not had that happen to me thankfully but I'm worried that if they tried I'd end up shouting at them. I tend to wear over-ear headphones though which are a bit harder to remove.
