AIBU to panic
My eldest is really good normally and knows the baby can't have food (he is 8). I nipped to the lo and must have been gone a minute and when I came back baby was licking his lips and looked guilty and admitted he let his almost 9 week old brother try a tiny bit of his Mr Whippy ice cream (a bit on the end of a spoon).

I made the mistake of googling and am now terrified the baby might get listeria, I had 3 mc before him so am aware I may be over reacting slightly.

TIA

ShockAngry oh my god! How could anyone think that's okay?!

My then 12 week old had champagne 🙈🙈🙈

It'll become a funny family story in time, I promise.

At 2 I decided that my 6 month old sister was a money box... and gave her a penny... that she swallowed. Oops 😳

Dd fed 3 month old DS nearly a whole tube of Smarties when I was driving home from my DPs- he looked like a hamster when I glanced in the rear view mirror 😳 35 years ago!
He survived 😊

I caught dd spooning a strawberry petit folious into ds when he was about 3 months old. He survived...
Don't panic, it's a tiny tiny bit of ice cream that he probably didn't swallow. Be chill about this, it's not a very bad thing to have happened

I wouldn't panic, it's not a whole ice cream just a taste. My twins now 15 ate all sorts courtesy of their big sister and tbh themselves half the time. Both still here and ridiculously healthy.

My FiL gave my LO 7up and a freddo to lick at 4 months. Whilst not being uber happy about it there was no point flipping out. She just thinks Grandad is a walking sugar rush. I'll make sure he gets the full benefit of that when she is a sugar loaded toddler Wink

My DS was slightly older 10 months, but at his Christening I looked up to see him being held by my dad in one arm, and he was helping himself to the froth off my dad's pint of beer, which my dad was holding in the other, whilst my dad looked the other way talking .... Angry he seemed to love it, no harm done!

I 'talcum powdered' my 9 month old brother with VIM cleaning bleach when I was 3.

Apparently I made sure the inside of his mouth was properly coated.
